The Cape Fear Flyers, youth track & field program is quickly growing and becoming a favorite activity for local, young athletes. There are numerous opportunities to assist and support. Your donations may be directed to support our scholarship program, which affords this opportunity to underprivileged athletes, or general sponsorship of the overall program. General program sponsorship supports equipment purchases, uniforms, and travel to North Carolina, statewide clinics, events, and competitions. In the summer of 2019, we had 27 athletes qualify and 20 athletes compete at the AAU Junior Olympics in Greensboro. Three of our Flyers came home with medals placing in the top 8 at the Junior Olympics. We also had three Flyers who medaled in multiple events at the USATF Youth Nationals in Durham. We were unable to have a track and field season in 2020 due to the pandemic but we did have a successful cross country season including four athletes and one of our coaches competing at the AAU XC National Championship. The Cape Fear Flyers is a 501(c)3 registered corporation, your support is 100% Tax Deductible! The Cape Fear Flyers is a non-profit organization that offers USATF sanctioned and AAU accredited Junior Olympic Cross Country and Track & Field training at an affordable rate to ensure that children from all socioeconomic groups have the opportunity to experience the lifetime benefits of the sport.
