or us, as students of the MassCommunication Program itwas a big honor to make aninterview with the esteemedPresident of the AmericanUniversity of Ras alKhaimah, Prof. Hassan

Hamdan Al Alkim. A well respected cit-izen of the United Arab Emirates, Prof.Hassan Al Alkim has to his name, aBachelor of Arts in Political Sciencefrom Seattle University. He also pos-sesses a Master of Arts and Doctorateof Philosophy in International Relationsfrom the prestigious University of Ex-eter. In his portfolio, the well versedprofessor also lectured InternationalRelations amongst a host of other so-cial sciences. With books in English andArabic, Hassan Al Alkim is a publishedwriter, authoring works which includeThe Foreign Policy of the United Arab

Emirates (1989), The GCC States in anUnstable World: The Foreign PolicyDilemma of the Small States (1994),and The Dynamic of the Arab StatesForeign Policy-Making in the Twenty-First Century (2011). We sat with the enigmatic mover andshaker to delve into his profound mindand discover his views on certain topics. Here are some excerpts from this in-formative and intriguing interview.

* Professor Hassan, what motivates youto succeed?

- Many things. The culture and reli-gion pushes me to succeed. Because, ifyou don't succeed, how can you sustaina good life? This applies to everyone, notjust me. Our tradition also demands aperson to work hard and participate inthe progress of society. Some thingsyou learn, others you imitate, and yetothers, you're born with. So far I'm sat-isfied with what I have achieved, but isthis my success? Or is there somethingmore? My mother played an importantpart in educating me and in my perspec-tive of things. My professors also helpedin my achievements, I wouldn't like touse the word “success” by the way.

* What three words would you use to de-scribe yourself as the President of a fastgrowing University? - Is it a fast growing University? I cer-tainly hope so. I do not want to heap ac-colades on myself, but I have a vision forthe University so we could say “Vision-ary”. Secondly, I look upon myself as thefirst amongst equals. We are all equalhere, but due to the authority I hold, Iam inevitably a leader, not better thanothers, simply trusted with leadership.I also believe in participatory adminis-tration. My office manager, the Provost,Deans, are all active in the decisionmaking process. I am open to sugges-tions and therefore I can use the word“democratic”. I listen and I am close withmy team so I believe the word “facilita-tor” would be an accurate description.

* What is your proudest moment as aleader?

- (…Laughs…) Have I reached thatmoment? Well my proudest momentwill be when this institution achieves itsobjectives. Even though I could say Ihave experienced many proud mo-ments, for instance, when I received mydegree and when I received my profes-sorship.But my major target that would

make me proud is when AURAK be-comes a world renowned Universitywith an excellent reputation.

* Who are the mentors who inspired you? - Well, this is a bit of a difficult ques-

tion. There are many people who in-spired my personality, the way I've beenbrought up. People, including teachers, parents, friends, and most importantlythe Prophet Muhammad who was myfirst educator. Noteworthy is my super-visor, while I was doing my PhD. He wasa mentor and a guide and played amajor role and influence in my outlookon life in general and in my interactionswith people. A memorable thing he didfor me was he never allowed me carrymy own suitcase. Normally I am sup-posed to carry his, since he's my super-visor, but he did it for me instead. Thisis just a glimpse of how humble he reallyis. Another was my professor in philos-ophy. I remember my first encounterwith him, not knowing what he wouldlook like before coming in to lecture forthe first time. I expected to see an olderman come in, but I observed a youngguy walk to the podium. I rememberasking myself why this student is takingthe professor’s place. He later intro-duced himself as our professor and iwas surprised that such a young manhad already become a full professor. Iwas inspired to achieve my professor-ship at his age after that incident. And Iachieved it when I was 36 Alhamdulillah.

* Professor Hassan, what do you thinkabout modern education in the 21st cen-tury?

- Education is currently goingthrough a reform globally. And with thedifferences in higher institutions and inhigh schools and elementary duly con-sidered, it's important to note that theyall are undergoing some change andtransformation. Finland is number onefollowed by Singapore and Korea inrankings at the moment in high schoolquality, while the British and AmericanUniversities lead the higher institutionsbrackets. The British Universities, eventhough they do appreciate informationtechnology, haven't incorporated it asmuch as the Americans have in theirvarious curriculums. This brings us todifferences in their philosophies; withthe English opting for a more tradi-tional and conservative approach thanthe Americans with their progressivestyle.

Mass communications students, ledby Dr. Suzana Dzamtoska-Zdravkovska,organized and participated in theSpeech Contest, the Photography com-petition and the Masquerade Ball withwinners from each category picked atthe end and awarded with prizes. The audience had the chance to vote forthe best photography, the best speechand the best mask. It was difficult tochoose the best from all categories, asall the entries were mesmerizing. At theend of the event, the judges collatedthe votes and discussed between them-selves, before finally announcing thewinners in the Photography, Speechand Mask competitions. It was delight-ful to see the participants beingawarded their certificates of success. Another highlight was a Debate:„Awareness, Action & Integration: Hereis how we engage with climate change“,held by Dr. Robert Arthur and Dr. Kai Ste-fan Bruns. The debate was about theways we could help reduce the effectsof pollution and global warming, wherestudents got to learn ways how to thinkin a productive way that will help us findsolutions to huge problems. There was also a seminar on “Philosophy

in Practice” - held by Dr. Mashhad Al Allafand Dr. Philip Philipp Dorstewitz. The event was enriched with samebeautiful messages of wisdom from theQur’an, chosen by Dr. Nowar Nizar Al Ani.

he Solar Decathlon Middle East is a global contest ini-tiated by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority and De-partment of Energy of the United States of America.

University colleges from around the world meet to innovate, and construct solar powered houses. The contestants willhave the challenge of designing solar houses that must standup to the heat, dust, and high humidity that is experiencedin the Middle East throughout the year.

The first Solar Decathlon was held in 2002 and events havesubsequently been held in various countries including theU.S. and China. The houses designed in this competition utilize solar energyas their main source of power and are outfitted with everytechnology that allows the greatest productivity. During thecompetition, contestants converge in their assigned housesin an EXPO zone in Dubai, open to the general public. Withten groups competing, the root of the name of this competi-tion becomes apparent; Decathlon was derived from Decameaning ‘ten' in Greek. The competitors must design solar houses that are capableof enduring the heat, dust, and high humidity that is experi-enced in the Middle East. The areas evaluated in this contestare architecture, engineering and construction, energy man-agement, house functioning, sustainable transportation, sus-tainability, communication, innovation, and energy efficiencyas well as comfort.

The AURAK team consists of 60 faculties and students fromdifferent disciplines in the University, ranging from Architec-ture, Civil engineering, Mechanical engineering, Chemical en-gineering, Industrial engineering, to Computer science andElectronics and Communications engineering. With the su-pervision of their professors, the team hopes to develop theconcept of solar-powered and self-sufficient houses to real-ity. They also emphasized the idea of this house meeting up

to the regions socio-cultural values, as well as climatic needs. The house that TEAM AURAK has managed to design is re-ferred to as “Al Bayt Al Kamel”, or in other words; “RAK ZeroEnergy Villa”.

On the 25th of March 2018, AURAK hosted the “Cornerstoneevent of Al-Bayt Al Kamel” on campus, under the patronageof the Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah, His Highness SheikhMohammed bin Saud Al Qassimi and the presence of the Di-rector of the Department of Citizens Affairs at the EmiriDiwan in Ras Al Khaimah, Sheikh Sultan bin Jamal bin SaqrAl Qasimi. On that day, a large number of university studentsand professors from various departments, along with spon-soring firms, witnessed the launch of this project. The event itself started on the arrival of Sheikh Sultan binJamal bin Saqr Al Qasimi, with a meet and greet of the Al-Bayt Al-Kamel presentation sponsors, as well as an explana-tion of the design model. The President of AURAK, Prof. Has-san Hamdan Al Alkim gave an introduction speech welcomingthe audience before the start of the event’s program. A filmwas shown to explain what the Solar Decathlon Middle East2018 is all about, followed by a speech and film presentationof Al-Bayt Al-Kamel Solar House. The program had a very or-ganized flow of events and the satisfaction of the audiencewas apparent. The next step in this amazing project will be the constructionphase in which the Zero Energy Villa will be constructed forthe competition in Dubai. It will be constructed two weeksprior to the competition in November and last for the entiremonth.Last but not least, it is important to mention that the contri-bution of AURAK to such an enormous competition is in it-self, an achievement. Having the opportunity to go throughsuch a challenge with the mindset and the intention toachieve great ranking and excel in the process is a greatpleasure for the university and all the students who took partin this.

AURAK WILL COMPETE AT SOLAR DECATHLON MIDDLE EAST WITH AN INNOVATIVESUSTAINABILITY PROJECT

With the launch of The Solar Decathlon Middle East (SDME), The American University of Ras al Khaimah has taken a step forward by participating in this important competition which focuses on showcasing solar housing designs by participants. AURAK will be presentat the event Solar Decathlon Middle East, to be held in November of2018, with the project Al-Bayt Al-Kamel; RAK Zero Energy Villa.

* In November 2018, The Solar DecathlonMiddle East will be held in DUBAI, inter-national competition on which AURAKwill take part with its team and the proj-ect Al-Bayt Al Kamel. What are your ex-pectations from this very important in-ternational event? - Solar Decathlon Middle East is an in-ternational competition for green build-ings, which challenges collegiate teamsto design, build and operate grid-con-nected, attractive and net-zero-energyhouses. It is important to remember theheritage of the region and incorporatesome of the traditional styles, arts andmaterials while building for the future.Solar Decathlon is more than a compe-tition. It’s an intensive learning experi-ence for students as they experiencethe latest technologies and materials inenergy-efficient design, clean energytechnologies, smart home solutions, water conservation measures, electricvehicles, and sustainable buildings. TheSolar Decathlon provides a hands-onexperience and unique training thatprepares the competing students toenter the clean energy workforce.

* Can you tell us how did you develop thewhole idea? - The beginning of this journey, of theSolar Decathlon Middle East competi-tion, started back in fall 2016, when ourproposal had been accepted along withthe other 20 teams from 15 differentcountries. In early 2017, we started thedesign process. We held a competitionamongst architecture students tochoose the final design concept of thehouse. After the design stage we arrangedmeetings and signed agreements withour sponsors. In addition to that weworked on the design and constructiondrawings.* Solar energy is increasingly starting tobe used. What are your predictions forthe future? Whether in the near future wewill have around us Al-Bayt Al Kamel -RAK Zero Energy Villa?

- We are designing Al Bayt al Kamel tobe a solution to the problems of hous-ing in this region. What makes our proj-ect unique is the modular construction,as our house will be constructed in 3 dif-ferent modules constructed off site.Great ventilation, innovation in thegreen walls, and the unique 3D panels, that are easy to construct, reliable, fast, and easy to implement. Our future planis to make this project as a research fa-cility at our university, which will serveas an inspiration to future students atour university. I believe that the reasonwe are taking part of this SDME compe-tition, is because UAE is an exponen-tially growing country. And in order tohave a balanced growth of the buildingstock, we need to design & build an en-ergy efficient, self-sufficient, and smarthouse, to adapt to the need of the mar-ket.

“We are designing Al Bayt al Kamel to be a solution to the problems of housing in this region. What makes our projectunique is the modular construction, as our house will be constructed in 3 different modules constructed off site”, said Dr. Fernando in an interview with “Voice of AURAK”

n March this year, a small survey was con-ducted on how much money young peo-ple spend during their university life atAURAK. The students were asked how much moneythey spend on food per day; where they spend themoney and why they are buying ready-made food in-stead of cooking?

According to the answers received from the stu-dents on the question “How much money they spend on foodper day?”, 70% of the students spend 30 to 50 AED, and theother 30% spend 100 AED and above.

We asked students whether they spent money in the uni-versity’s cafeteria or if they spend it on food from outside ofthe University. The answers were 50/50. Some students pre-fer to eat different meals from the cafeteria while others eat

outside of the University, usually at nearbycafeterias.

The reason why students spend so much onready-made food is that for them, it is easier to buy food thancook. Time is another issue. While most students are busywith assignments or exams the easiest option is to buyready-made food, because it’s quicker and less time consum-ing.

Therefore, saving money for a university student is hard, especially for the students living in the dorms. In just onemonth, a student from AURAK spends around 3.000 AEDjust on food. To change that, maybe cooking is the best alter-native and money saving option. Cooking can save around 30AED in a day. In this way students don’t have to suffer beingbroke at the end of the week or month.

r. Denamito”, a new student’s cafe-teria, was launched at AURAK. It wasopened at building C on March 12.Positive reviews have poured in

from students. They were happy and satisfiedwith the new design and the unique furnitureof the cafeteria. The cafeteria has a new menu and variouschoices with affordable prices. There are foodswith different tastes and a variety of juiceswhich grabs students’ curiosity. The café itselffeels cozy, it is calming and the colors arewarm to the eyes. Every student has acknowl-edged the improved cafeteria although theywould be happy if the cafeteria expands - addmore seats and a sound system. Generally, the cafeteria is a welcome additionto the University and in the same time a newdestination for the students after their every-day classes. This cafeteria is a place to take arest, have a cup of coffee or tea and a smallsnack. Also, along with “Master Baker” cafete-ria, these two places serve as a meeting pointsfor students and faculty staff; a place for ashort relaxation which all enjoy.

onsidering the fact that midtermand exam periods during univer-sity days come with increasedanxiety levels, we thought it

would be appropriate to learn how tomanage the stress and overcome anyproblems that might be encountered inthese times. The first step in solving a problem is tounderstand it! So, ask yourself: “Why doyou feel stressed and anxious aboutyour exams?” This question has manyanswers but some of the most commonare: being unprepared, having low mo-tivation, having high expectations fromyourself or from others around you.Finding answers to this question mayhelp you in reducing stress and anxiety. TIPS

There are other tips that can help yousuch as the following:

• Before an upcoming exam period,

plan your studying schedule, and evenbefore that you can go through thestudy material so you are familiar withthe information you will have to processand memorize. Solving practice ques-tions is also a good idea. This will makeyou prepared for the exam and makesyou feel less stressed and anxiousabout it.

• A good solution for low motivation

and high expectations is quite simpleyou can talk to someone about it. A lit-tle rant from time to time can help getrid of some anxiety and lift some weightoff your chest.

• During the studying process takebreaks, avoid distractions, and if it allgets too much take a walk, do someyoga, or exercise. This will boost yourmemory and brain power.

• The last step you need to follow fora more confident outlook on exams isgetting enough sleep at night becauseit improves focus and helps your mem-ory. Plus lack of sleep itself causes anx-iety.

Remember, the exam period will passfor sure and your hard work will not goto waste. So have faith in yourself, sleepwell, take a deep breath, follow thesesteps and you will get through all yourexams with little or no stress.

A number of studies have been conducted, the most important of which is theWorld Happiness Report, an annual publication of the United Nations Sustain-able Development Solutions Network which contains rankings of nationalhappiness. In the World Happiness Report 2018 Finland was named as the world's happi-est country, rising from fifth place last year to oust Norway from the top spot, while Britain was placed 19th in the report. Among 156 countries worldwide, the UAE has taken to the 20th place in the World Happiness Report, one rankup from last year. The annual Gallup World Poll, participated by 156 countriesand had 1,000 samples, put Burundi at the bottom of index and found Ameri-cans were getting less happy even as their country became richer. In addition to the study conducted by the British Medical Journal, which re-ported that happiness is a phenomenon transmitted by infection, comingfrom friends or family members, but it is not transmitted by coworkers, andanother study conducted in the United States between 1957 and 1976. Itspoke about the close link between happiness and marriage, that is, happinessis achieved when a person marries and settles. The results of this studyshowed that their effect is greater in males than females.

he importance of patienceshould be realized by every in-

dividual. Patience in life canmake you reach out for the

stars. With patience you canavoid making hasty decisions. Life is notabout living in the future or in the past.Life is about accepting the present mo-ment.Whenever you are in any sort of trouble, people often advise you to have pa-tience. Why, instead of advising youabout the solution, do they ask you tostay calm and composed and be pa-tient?In this modern age, most of us have for-gotten to be patient and get irritatedvery quickly over minor things like atraffic jam, a baby crying and a womannagging about her problems. Patienceis a virtue that everybody must possess.

Patience makes us better people. Two reasons emphasizing the Impor-tance of patience in life:

• Patience shapes a talent intoachievement

• Patience transforms relationships“While desiring to achieve your dream, you might get intimidated by the hugetasks ahead to achieve it. Divide yourtask into smaller steps and set a sched-ule to achieve those steps. It will help youdevelop patience and achieve your dreamin a organized way.”Sometimes, in our relationships, we be-

come defensive, irritated, and say some-thing to hurt others. We do not realizethe importance of patience and end upmaking hasty decisions. Whenever youfeel defensive against the person, try tobe patient enough to take time to thinkover another person’s positive qualities.Patience helps us accept other peopleas they are and makes us tolerant. Bybeing impatient, you suffer more thanother people. You can be patient if you have clearknowledge about your goal and if youare putting the desired effort in the

right direction. There are many ways toachieve anything. The trick is to stick toyour own plan when others around youseem to be getting ahead much fasterthan you. Yes, they may be enjoyingmore success than you, but you knownothing about where they are ulti-mately headed.Patience is an important tool in over-coming frustration. Patience allows usto suspend judgment long enough tomake informed decisions, thus pavingthe path to a happy and peaceful life.As emphasized in one of the wise Chi-nese proverbs: “One moment of pa-tience may ward off great disaster. Onemoment of impatience may ruin awhole life!”

t often seems to me that whileI’m on my journey through life, Ido not have anything figured outyet. And sometimes i get to take a

pause and ask myself a question: Whatam I doing here? What is my purpose in life? What is thereason behind my existence in thisworld? And every single time I ask myself ques-tions, I do not find an answer. Of course, feeling guilty won’t be fun every time Iget that thought right? So to make my-self feel better, my brain plays a littletrick on me to convince me that I’mdoing okay. The other day, I was scrolling down mytwitter timeline. I came across a postthat read: I don’t know where I’m going, but I’m on my way. This post gives me an inner comfortthat it’s okay not to have a purpose

right now. That you’re going to find itlater on you’re going to be walkingthrough life, stumble across that “pur-pose” and work on it.But then it hit me. Purpose! A big wordwith a lot of meaning! There’s a quotethat goes: If you can’t figure out yourpurpose, figure out your passion. Yourpassion will lead you right to your pur-pose.Then I stopped right there and startedto think. What is my passion and whereis it? So I started to list my hobbies andthings I like to do: Shopping?Sleeping? Eating? Oh… and Reading! The only hobbywhere I find my long lost self in themidst of this troubled world. So I lay down my options, and I think tomyself. What now? What should I do?How can I put these hobbies to use? SoI get really upset with myself, I ask my-self if I am that useless? Is it really thathard for me to find something produc-tive in which I’m good at?Then I take a step back and think a little.Let me tell you, artists have alwaysamused me. They have a special place inmy heart, because they produce some-thing that consoles those who havebeen broken by life. It always hurt myfeelings though, that I was never one ofthem. And then I stumbled across a quote:Writing is an underestimated art, in factthe hardest: you are painting colorfulimages in people’s minds using words inblack and white. And it hit me like a truck. For those ofyou who do not know, there’s a connec-tion between reading and writing. Asthey always say; read a lot, for yourwords will flow like a river. I loved read-ing ever since I was a little girl, and Iwould write stories that featured char-acters from my own life. I would get

endless praises and encouragementfrom my English literature teachers forbeing such a good writer. I would getgood feedback from my friends abouthow good I was every time I’m throughwriting a story with them as the protag-onists. And I can’t help but see it myselfnow. Finally, I found my passion. What I like. What I want to do. How I would like toleave a print in this world. I want towrite. I find my solitude and happiness.Because it’s my passion expressed fromthe inside out. That is my purpose.Find your passion, only then will youknow your destination!

hat is it like to love yourself?A question which differs dayto day with its answer! Be-cause at times, you wake upand love yourself and at other

times you can't stand looking at theperson in the mirror which is you. Now there’s nothing wrong with lovingyourself or not liking the way you look, because things like these motivate youto change into the better you.At the same time, loving yourself meansthat there are many things that you willhave to leave behind! Leave negativethoughts! Be positive and drop the neg-ative attitude. Erase all the crucialthoughts; re-write them with pride, ac-cepting who you are and what you aremade of. Appreciate yourself at everything youdo, no matter how small it is, it's anachievement nonetheless and hence, deserves applaud and appreciation. Beproud of what you have done and nevercompare yourself to what others havedone. We're all different; our own fin-gers don't look the same. Forget yourflaws for a while. And the best way to dothat is by distracting yourself. Lifetends to get hectic at times, and we donot find the time to personally enjoy it. So… take a break and listen to what youwant for once... Do something specialfor you, pamper yourself, it can be any-thing like going to the spa or drinking acup of iced coffee by the beach at 4am.In the process of all this, you will some-how find and somehow put yourself inthe right path of self-love, because inthe end the only person you have is you.

o you know that the phrase "Men are from Mars andwomen are from Venus"? comes from the title of thebook written by John Gray. He said that men andwomen are distinct planets and that each sex

adapts to the society and customs of the planet, butnot to others. So what does science says about the differencebetween men and women from each other? In 2013, Princeton University and the University of Pennsyl-vania conducted a study on the brains of nearly 1,000 menand women. The researchers tried to find out if there wereany noticeable differences in male and female brain structureand they found many. They discovered that the female brainhas large links between the left and right parts of the brain. This is evidence that women are better at decision making, analysis and reasoning.

THE MALE BRAIN IS GEAREDA LITTLE MORE TOWARDS MATHThere is a system called the limbic system which is more pro-nounced in the female brain. It is responsible for emotionalassessment of social and personal interactions such as con-versations, which shows that women are more susceptible inassessing emotional interactions. There is a so-called inferiorparietal lobule, which is more sophisticated in the male brain. This part of the brain is responsible for developing athleticskills. Also, this area of the brain is thought to influencemathematical ability. The brain areas that are thought tocontrol math and geometry skills mature in boys about fouryears earlier than in girls.

Studies show that most men use the left half of the brain toprocess information, while women are more skilled at usingboth hemispheres of their brain. Men are more likely to sufferfrom neurological disorders while women are more likely tosuffer from mood disorders. According to the tests, womenachieved better results in memory than men. Also, malebrains produce serotonin more quickly than female brains, which explain why women are more prone to depression.

GIRLS TEND TO USE MORE WORDSAccording to Gregory L. Jantz Ph.D, a mental health expert, females often have a larger hippocampus, our human mem-ory center and a higher density of neural connections into thehippocampus. As a result, girls and women tend to input orabsorb more sensorial (means information to and from all fivesenses) and emotive information than males do. Femalestend to sense a lot more of what is going on around themthroughout the day, and they retain that sensorial informa-tion more than men. “The right and left hemispheres of the male and female brainsare not set up exactly the same way. For instance, femalestend to have verbal centers on both sides of the brain, whilemales tend to have verbal centers on only the left hemi-sphere. This is a significant difference. Girls tend to use morewords when discussing or describing incidence, story, person, object, feeling, or place. Males not only have fewer verbal cen-ters in general but also, often, have less connectivity betweentheir word centers and their memories or feelings. When it comes to discussing feelings and emotions andsenses together, girls tend to have an advantage, and theytend to have more interest in talking about these things,” hasbeen written by the Dr. Jantz in Psychology Today(https://www.psychologytoday.com).

Females tend to sense a lot more of what is going on around them throughout the day, and they retain that sensorial informationmore than men

his tiny book has been a subjectof interest to me for quite sometime. I knew I was going to love itfrom the very first glance at its

cover page; children's books usuallynever fail me. And I was right. “The LittlePrince” was a bubbly heart-full read, buta very deep one if one squints enoughto see the bigger picture behind themetaphorical tale.Going through this quick read was a de-light. I'm just sorry I took so long to graba copy of my own!

A Synopsis: The Little Prince is the most translatedbook in the French language. With a time-less charm it tells the story of a little boywho leaves the safety of his own tinyplanet to travel the universe, learning thevagaries of adult behavior through a seriesof extraordinary encounters. His personalodyssey culminates in a voyage to Earthand further adventures.

Opinion: Antoine writes like a chameleon in thisbook. You'd think you see green, but it'sactually yellow instead. His words heldso much depth, but you couldn't tellfrom the very first glance. His tale couldbe interpreted in endless different sce-narios, which I thought was a geniusmove from him.“The Little Prince” is a very peculiar butinnocent character, which triggers areader's curiosity to translate everyword, expression, and move that comesout of him. I was busy the whole time try-ing to map out his personality and be-haviors while struggling to keep up withthe events of the story. It literally felt likea puzzle that was completed tragically atthe very last pages of the book (I will al-ways look for your star, Little Prince). Thequotes were very meaningful, too. Therewas a lot of talk about friendship and life.I found myself nodding along and high-

lighting my favorite ones!I don't think, however, that the formatand context of this book will suit every-one's taste. The tale is not told in a verytypical manner, after all. I still enjoyedthis; it was fresh and different from thenorm.I gave this book a four out of five starsrating, only because I disapproved of

the way adults were portrayed in thiswhole shenanigan. The author made itsound like all adults have lost theirtouch with their creative, care-free sidethat they left it behind when they wereno longer children, and that is simplyuntrue. There are still artists, authors, and many more that still invest in theircreativity on a daily basis. I just thoughtthat the picture he drew to the kids wasabsurd. No, growing up doesn't neces-sary mean that you'd lead a dull life. You're the one in control of your paint-brush; paint your pathway however youplease.

Today itis still present in the special occasionsand holidays. The details and materials are different, but they all have a similar style that ismeant to be loose-fitting.Hanbok remains an important icon ofKorea. Humans is a two-seasons-long show airing on AMC (U.S) andChannel 4 (U.K), based on the Swedish “Real Humans”, withseason three to begin at the end of this year. Having watchednumerous Sci-fi TV shows, I thought Humans would be yet an-other premise where robots turn self aware and want to takeover the world. Everyone who watched numerous Sci-fi TVshows will realize that Humans would be yet another premisewhere robots turn self-aware and want to take over the world. However, it is a show that explores our humanity, and is fa-miliar to us as technology improves daily, and we move closerand closer to an artificial intelligence dominated world. Someparts even hit close to home, as the son of the Hawkins won-ders why he should bother with school, when the Synths areavailable and can not only do anything he could, but cheaperand more efficiently. Nowadays, we see machines replacingus in many fields, and a lot of people have lost their jobs toautomation.Humans stars: Gemma Chan (Anita/Mia), Colin Morgan (LeoElster).

hatever you do, don't watch "The Last Key" without the help of afriend who can convince you that you’re simply not imaginingthis. A pattern that started with "Deceptive: Chapter 2.”, the cre-ators of "The Last Key" do pull enough punches that you'll reallywish whatever remains of the motion picture wasn't as reliant

on jump scares to set up fear. The best justification for seeing "The LastKey" with someone else is having the capacity to take a GLIMPSE at anotherspirit, and acknowledging you're not losing it. This is part four of the “Insid-ious adventure”, however it's really the spin-off of a prequel (1, 2, 3, 4). TheLast Key's introduction gives us the early backstory of Elise’s apparition, adelicate psychic who shows up in all the parts of the franchise. Her childhoodhome is next door to a prison's death row and her dad, a prison guard, is aviolent man who tries to beat her heavenly psychic powers out of her. Elise’smom winds up hanged right before her eyes by powers from the past. “TheLast Key” wastes its chances to get intriguing. The viciousness is withoutblood and gore.

With an elite cast and crew both before and behind the camera,“Black Panther”, under the direction of Ryan Coogler, is more thanjust the newest superhero's journey; it's additionally about black cul-ture's journey, and it indicates a future where it could be the way oflife. It recognizes and celebrates everything from customary Africanculture to controversial African-American political discussion, fromthe power and excellence of strong black women to the protectionof their personality, all inside the lavish limits of the fictional Africannation of Wakanda. On the whole, Black Panther's most prominent legacy may not bethat it's improved the situation of Marvel Studios, Hollywood, or filmindustry records, but that it has enhanced the perspective in whichAfrican culture is globally perceived.
