This CAN Bus modul is a taxi-alarm and serves all required functions in case of alarm pursuant to German BO Kraft (§25). Furthermore it delivers the necessary signals to connect a taxameter (ignition and tachometersignal).

Simultaneous please pay attention that the total output current of all outputs is maximum 200 mA. Otherwise the interface can be destroyed. At higher electricity demand use a relay with coil resistance of minimum 75Ω or minimum 150Ω for two relays.

InstallationThis modul is supposed to be installed in the vehicle interior, best performed in the near of the central switching unit (BSI), because all tapping points are there. The connections for the vehicle can be manufactured by the help of cut-and-clamp connectors no. 558 (3M).

BSI-variant 1: remove coverage in driver footwell below the BSI and put up/flip out the BSI out of it´s mount. When pulling it down you get access to the plug-in connectors PB and PB1 easier.

BSI-variant 2: remove coverage in driver footwell. Behind of it is the BSI. All required tapping points are at theblue 60 pole plug with the marking “EPB“.

The buttons for activating or deactivating the alarm can be installed at various places in the vehicle. However,it is obligation, that the buttons for triggering are in reach of the driver. A typical installation site is the driver footwell or the steering column. The button for deactivating usually get´s installed in the trunk.

ATTENTION: the supplied buttons are not suitable for a installation in the engine compartment!

Triggering longer than 2 seconds.

If silent alarm is already triggered, it is enough to trigger the button shorter than 2 seconds again to get full alarm.

Horn and high beam will be triggered in differential mode. Hazard lights will be activated.

Triggering the roof signThe roof sign will be triggered at the output „triggering roof sign“ (pin 5 at the 8 pole plug). For this application it is absolutely necessary to use a suitable vehicle relay!

For roof signs, at which the polarity has to be switched in alarm case (for example Kienzle roof sign) we developed a roof sign control for taxi-roof signs (item no. 34993101). With this box the roof sign can be supplied directly.The taxameter-output „roof sign“ will be read by the Taxi CAN modul. The connection for this is pin 1 at the 6 pole plug. The signal will be looped through and issued at pin 5 at the 8 pole plug. In case of alarm its flashing.
