Costs The event will have a $10 registration fee to participate. This will get you a participant patch and access to a variety of fun activities throughout the month. Each class will have a separate class fee attached. Merit Badge classes are set at a $5 fee. So other events have different costs i.e. Leave no Trace 101 i set at $10 This allows you to select as-many or as-few programs as you want your Scout to participate in. The event is entirely flexible and great value for money. It means that your Scout can enjoy their time with us and not be burdened with too many hours in front of a screen. If you’re out-of-council (not a member of TAC), there is a $10 surcharge to the registration fee. Why these costs? The Spec-TAC-ular Summer-palooza has the associated fees to help support the programs we are going to offer, assist with Administration costs, and support the Transatlantic Council in these unprecedented times. Many councils of the BSA, including the Transatlantic Council, rely on income from the summer camp programs they offer and Friends of Scouting donations to continue operations. We wanted to ensure that we are providing the best experience of our Scouts this summer and far into the future. Friends of Scouting Appeal Like many other councils, the Transatlantic Council is dependent on donations to help deliver amazing programs like this Summer-palooza to youth. TAC helps support over 6,500 scouts in around 50 countries. We support both our military and expat communities in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Central Asia. Please consider making a donation to help support Scouting overseas. You can make a gift at the link below. Thank you for your support:

Merchandise Along with your registration, your scouts will be able to purchase additional event patches or a commemorative neckerchief. Please be aware that all items are pre-order only. If you do not order items, they will not be able after the event. Once we have closed the pre-order period on Sunday 12th July 2020 and have all the orders completed, the patches and neckerchiefs will be ordered. They will then be sent to participants when they arrive in Europe and the Program Supply Center is allowed to reopen.
With your registration you do get an event patch for free, but we have added the option for you to order more if you want. You can also get the awesome neckerchief below, a fantastic collectors items and something for your Scout to wear pridefully at your next face-to-face meeting Participant patches: $5 Event neckerchief: $20
Unit Shipping In order to reduce our impact on the environment and reduce overall shipping costs for all, we may send merchandise and patches for single participants as a group mailing to their unit instead of individual mailings. We will contact participants who may be selected to receive unit shipping.

TAC Merchandise Now is also the perfect time to pick up some Transatlantic Council Merchandise from our TAC Store.
TAC is currently running a limited run of exclusive patches called the Scenes of TAC. There are 6 sets of patches, with each set highlighting amazing monuments and areas of natural beauty from each of TAC’s Districts. If you’re a collector, these are the items for you!

Advisory on Program options We are doing our best to provide summer programs to the youth of the Transatlantic Council, but there are several challenges along the way. A lot of the program offered in this event is dependent on the ability of our MBC’s and volunteer staff to be able to deliver the program. They are giving their time and efforts to offer these sessions. We are all affected in some way by the COVID-19 pandemic and that might result in changing schedules and availability. The program of the summer-palooza is flexible and might change before or over the course of the event. Because of the flexible nature of the event we will be providing regular updates, at most twice a week with program developments, changes in MB offering and schedules. Thank you for your understanding.
