The dewTEC Model DS2000 from Alpha Moisture Systems is a single
channel, online hygrometer designed to accurately measure dewpoint in
process gases and dry compressed air. This panel mounted DIN style
dewpoint meter combines advanced digital technology with the industry
leading ultra high capacitance aluminium oxide sensors - the acknowledged
industry benchmark for trace moisture measurement in process gases.
The combination of advanced display electronics and full specification
sensors makes this the unit of choice for a wide range applications due to it's
flexibility and high configurability and ease of use through its menu driven
operation.The instrument can be factory configured to order to read in °C
dewpoint, °F dewpoint, ppm(V), g/m³ or lb/MMSCF .
The measured dewpoint is displayed by means of a large 5½ digit, seven
segment LED display. Model DS2000 also offers two independent, fully user
programmable alarm contacts and open collector outputs to provide all the
versatility required for any application. The factory set, analogue, current or
voltage output, that is linear with dewpoint, is available as well as RS485
serial connection with 1-99 address settings. The dewTEC DS2000 is a fully
self-contained display system in 1/8 DIN panel mounted case providing front
panel protection to IP66 (NEMA 4).
The dewTEC DS2000 can be supplied together with any one of a range of
dedicated, ultra high capacitance, sensors incorporating automatic
calibration and covering an overall range from -110ºC to +20ºC dewpoint.
The sensor has been conditioned for long term stability so ensuring a long
and trouble free service life. Additionally the high sensitivity and linear output
of the sensor allow up to 1km cable length between sensor and dewTEC
DS2000 instrument. The sensor is ATEX certified for intrinsic safety so can
be used in hazardous environments with a suitable Zener barrier in the safe
area.
The long lasting sensing element offers excellent sensitivity, repeatability and
response speed - especially on dry down. Each unit is calibrated to ±2 ºC
accuracy and is supplied with a calibration certificate traceable to
International Humidity Standards.
The dewTEC DS2000 incorporates two fully programmable alarm relays to
control external devices, including process high, process low, direct acting,
reverse and logical OR. The alarms can be independently set across the full
operating range of the sensor with variable hysteresis for the chosen
engineering unit.
The dewTEC Model DS2000 Dewpoint Hygrometer is supplied fully
configured according to the customer's specifications and ready to use, with
calibration certification traceable to national and international standards,
instruction manual and 2 meters of connecting cable as standard.
An optional sensor holder can be ordered with the instrument. Additional
sensor cable upto 1000m can be ordered separately.
A complete on-line solution for continuous measurement of dewpoint in
process gas and compressed air, offering powerful functionality via a
simple interface.

Desiccant Head assembly
Keeping the sensor dry between tests ensures that the SADPmini is
always ready to carry out rapid spot checks . The unique design of
the Desiccant Head achieves this by surrounding the sensor with
desiccant when taking a measurement. At no time is the sensor
allowed to come into contact with ambient air. The chamber is also
designed so that the void space and chamber wall surfaces are
purged with sample gas, before exposure of the sensor , so giving
faster, more accurate and reliable results.

Model AMT-Ex Intrinsically Safe Dewpoint Hygrometer is a three wire 4-20mA transmitter, certified safe for use in potentially explosive environments, for the continuous measurement of humidity in a process gas or compressed air. It is certified intrinsically safe to ATEX Ex ia IIC T4 for gas zones and ATEX Ex iaD IIC T4 20 for dust zones. Powered from an approved galvanically isolated barrier, providing a safe 12v to 28v dc source, the unit is designed to output a safe and linear 4-20mA signal corresponding to the dewpoint temperature. The Model AMT-Ex transmitter can also be factory configured to output a 4-20mA linear signal for any other moisture unit e.g. ppm(v), ppm(w), g/m
3, lb/MMSCF etc.
Model AMT-Ex is certified intrinsically safe to ATEX Ex ia IIC T4 for gas zones and ATEX Ex iaD IIC T4 20 for dust zones. The long lasting sensing element offers excellent sensitivity, repeatability and response speed. Each unit is supplied with a Certificate of Calibration, traceable to International Humidity Standards, validating accuracy to ±2ºC dewpoint. The transmitter also incorporates an Automatic Calibration (AUTOCAL) feature, which allows the user to carry out a field calibration / span check. AUTOCAL feature is operated by means of two small button switches built within the transmitter enclosure. To avoid tamper, the switches are locked in normal use and can only be activated by following a special routine. The integral RISC microprocessor circuitry of the Model AMT-Ex transmitter allows high resolution with advanced self-diagnostics for fault conditions. It also enables periodic re-calibration of the moisture sensor, storing calibration data within the fully self contained unit. The Model AMT-Ex transmitter can also be factory set to provide a linear 4-20mA signal over a chosen range. The mechanics of the Model AMT-Ex transmitter have been designed to cope with extreme environmental conditions. The rugged stainless steel construction offers protection to IP66 (NEMA4X), with transmitter electrical connections made via secure industrial connector. Model AMT-Ex transmitter can withstand 35,000 kPa (350bar) maximum pressure and by employing a low resistance cable, the transmitter can be located significant distances, in excess of 1000 metres, from the control room. Designed with the operator in mind, for reliable and accurate measurements, Model AMT-Ex is extremely easy to install and operate, requiring little or no maintenance.
