Our story…since 1936

• 1936: Creation of the company "CONFISERIE DU LITTORAL" in Sète (South of France) by Laurent FAYETwith a focus on Olives trading,

• 1939: Starting of the Second World War: The commercial activities of the company are stopped until the endof the war,

• 1973: Jean-Yves SERRE, nephew of Mr FAYET, took over the company and developed it as a commercialbrand,

• 1975: Creation of the first preparations & recipes with olives (green and black) for cocktails,

• 1975-90: CONFISERIE DU LITTORAL grows rapidly and develops the prepared olives range packed in jarsand pails,

• 1991: Association of CONFISERIE DU LITTORAL with MENGUY'S group: creation of the company BARNIERPRODUCTION,

• 1992: Construction of the new production site in Frontignan, with improved sanitary and security controls(CEE Agreement). Development of new packaging in bags,

• 1998: BARNIER is certified « ISO 9002 »,

• 2003: BARNIER is certified « ISO 9001 » version 2000,

• 2008: BARNIER is certified « BRC » and « IFS » version 5.
