collective, with the topic with which the biographee is most closely identified

Special biography numbers are customarily found in the general materials area of a topic whose class numbers have been expanded to any extent

Use of these numbers is not limited to purely biographical (or autobiographical) works

A work whose purpose is to relate an individual or group of individuals to a topic may also be classed in a biography number

Corporate Main Entry (G 220) A corporate body is an organization or group of

persons that is identified by a particular name, and that acts, or may act, as an entity. Typical examples of corporate bodies are associations, government agencies, religious bodies, local churches, and conferences

For materials entered under a corporate body heading, Cutter for the name of the corporate body. For monographic items, add the imprint date to the call number to make each call number unique.
