WHY DO WE HAVE A DRESS CODE??

THE SPARTAN DRESS CODE PROMOTES:

Remember, what may be appropriate to wear on the weekend is not always appropriate for school!

PLEASE WEAR SHOES IN OUR HALLS!!*FOR SAFETY REASONS, SOME CLASSES DON’T ALLOW OPEN TOE SHOES, CHECK YOUR COURSE DISCLOSURE!!

SHORTS, SKIRTS, DRESSES SHOULD BE JUST ABOVE THE KNEE OR LOWER.

SOUTH OGDEN JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL RESERVES THE RIGHT TO PROHIBIT ANY ITEMS OF CLOTHING OR APPEARANCE WHICH MAY CAUSE A DISTURBANCE OR DISTRACTION TO ORDERLY SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT. THIS INCLUDES BANNING COLORS IF NECESSARY.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF YOU VIOLATE THE DRESS CODE?

First Offense: Student warned and required to change. Incident recorded on discipline tracker.

Second Offense: Student warned and required to change. Parent notified and incident recorded on discipline tracker. Second hat violation results in hat confiscated. (Parent will have to pick up hat.)

Third Offense: Student suspended for one day. Parent notified. Incident recorded on discipline tracker.

Further violations will result in extended periods of suspension from school.

PLEASE FOLLOW THE DRESS CODE! THIS WILL HELP YOU, AND THOSE AROUND YOU TO BE SUCCESSFUL!! (AND STAY OUT OF THE PRINCIPALS OFFICE!!!)
