RESOLUTION NO. CIS 73-17 WORKSHOP/CONFERENCE ATTENDANCE AND REIMBURSEMENT OF RELATED TRAVEL EXPENSES

RESOLVED that the Board of Education approves the resolution as follows, (Attached).

WHEREAS, district employees and members of the Board of Education are attending conferences, conventions, staff training, seminars, or workshops; and WHEREAS, the attendance at stated functions were previously approved by the chief school administrator and school business administrator as work related and within the scope of the work responsibilities of the attendees; and WHEREAS, the attendance at the functions were approved as promoting delivery of instruction or furthering efficient operation of the district; and fiscally prudent, and WHEREAS, the travel and related expenses particular to attendance at these functions are within state travel guidelines established by the Department of Treasury in NJOMB circular letter; BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education finds the travel and related expense particular to attendance at these previously approved functions; BE IT RESOLVED, that the expenses are justified and therefore reimbursable. RESOLUTION NO. CIS 80-17 THERAPY DOG TRAINING PROGRAM RESOLVED that the Board of Education approves associated costs of the Therapy Dog program in the amount of $2,354.00.

RESOLUTION NO. CIS 81-17 ANTI-BULLYING ASSEMBLY RESOLVED that the Board of Education approves an anti-bully assembly on October 2, 2017 for SHS and SMS students presented by Kyle Scheele. He is a motivational youth speaker and keynote speaker at this year’s Anti-Bullying Summit sponsored by the Center for Prevention. Cost shared and paid from student activities accounts. RESOLUTION NO. CIS 82-17 SPARTA SCHOOL DISTRICT APP/WEBSITE RESOLVED that the Board of Education approves purchase of Blackboard ParentLink app/website for the district. The purchase includes a one-time setup fee this year in the amount of $25,831.25 which includes on-site staff training. The cost will be incurred through Curriculum Tech Funds. The annual fee would then be ongoing at $19,625.00. The annual cost for the ParentLink App alone would be $10,385.00.
