Sparkle of Hope
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 23, 20156:00 PM
Madison Marriott West

Middleton, Wisconsin
Welcome to the eleventh annual Sparkle of Hope event to benefit
University of Wisconsin’s Gynecologic Oncology Program. On behalf of
our physicians, researchers, clinical staff and the thousands of women that we
serve, we thank you for joining us this evening and for your continued support.
Tonight, we celebrate women and the tremendous progress we’ve made in the
prevention, treatment and cure of gynecologic cancers. But in our celebration
we are also mindful of lives lost too soon.
Guided by the spirit of these women and the hope of our patients and their
families, we share your passion for making a difference in the world of
gynecologic cancers. In the Division of Gynecologic Oncology, we are leading
efforts in surgical innovation and outcomes research, quality of life studies and
innovative chemotherapy trials. We are studying new ways to detect cancer
and treat it at its source.
While we are at the forefront of discovery, our federal grant funding is
diminishing. Philanthropic support is now more important than ever. By
participating in Sparkle of Hope you are helping us make a significant
difference in sustaining our research and continuing progress in fighting these
diseases.
Again, thank you for your support!

Every woman is at risk.
Each cancer has different symptoms, many of which can be mistaken
for other conditions. It’s critical to know the signs and symptoms
because early detection can save lives.
If you are concerned about any health issues, talk with your
