Survey  on Innovation in Companies

To provide information on the structure of the innovation process and show the relationships between the aforementioned process and companies' technological strategy, the factors influencing their capability to innovate and the economic performance of companies.

Survey on the Use of Biotechnology 

To ascertain economic and human resources aimed at Biotechnology.

CDTICentre for the Development of  Industrial Technology 

Action Lines :

•To evaluate and finance technological development, innovation and modernization projects 

developed by Spanish companies.

Specific objectives

‐ To design indicators for the measurement of S&T and innovation in Ibero American countries.‐ To provide the international comparability and interchange of information on S&T and innovation, and the development of comparative studies.‐ To organize international and regional programs for compiling information on S&T and innovation.‐ To organize international workshops and meetings about the Network's main subjects.‐ To publish information, papers and analysis of indicators, and to develop information processes on S&T and innovation.‐ To provide the interface for the relation with public S&T statistics organisms.‐ To train experts on statistics and S&T indicators.

RICYT seeks also to widen the field of studies on S&T indicators and to incorporate more actors and initiatives, aiming to:

‐ The region's incorporation to the international systems of S&T indicators, adapting the internationally accepted standards;‐ The analysis of the region's specific problems, looking for solutions to issues as bibliography, bibliometrics, institutional organization of the S&T statistics and indicators, and technical training for experts on indicators;‐ The generation of a Latin American standard adapted to the regional specificities: the institutional parameters according to the national organisms characteristics;‐ the adequate input and output indicators for the region's S&T systems;‐ the adequate innovation indicators for the productive activities profiles.

Competitive calls (6 in 2011):To stimulate research results transfer:

INNCIDE aims to stimulate the activity of the Research Results Transfer Offices (OTRI) from  Universities, public research bodies and private non‐profit entities (budget: 7 M€).INNOEUROPA provides financial assistance to Spanish technological centers to promote and increase their participation in the European Union’s Seventh Framework Program (budget: 3.2 M€).INNPLANTA provides financial support for the introduction or enhancement of scientific and technological infrastructure and for the acquisition of R&D&I equipment by entities established in scientific and technology  parks (budget: 620 M€)

To increase the recruitment of specialized personnel:INNCORPORA combines loans for recruitment of personnel for R&D&I with subsidies for training (budget: 342 M€).

To encourage public‐private collaborations:INNFLUYE provides financial support for the creation and consolidation of technology platforms, in order to promote partnership between public and private (budget: 5.5 M€).INNPACTO encourages collaboration between research organizations and companies to develop R&D&I projects directed to an identified market‐based demand (budget: 941 M€)

Grant programs (4 in 2011)INNVIERTE is a venture capital fund that invests directly in innovative companies (Budget: 150 M€)INNOCASH aims to mobilize private investment to develop and commercially exploit R&D results generated in research centers (budget: 12 M€)INNVENTA supports the creation of centers of excellence in research and development through specific agreements with regional governments and/or directly with entities and public and private companies.INNTEGRA aims to coordinate the State Innovation Strategy with the autonomous communities’ innovation policies.
