Background
• EC-LXI agreed to establish an Inter-programme Coordination Team on Space Weather (ICTSW)
• Terms of Reference:
– Standardization and enhanced data exchange through WIS
– Harmonized definition of end-products and services
– Integration of Space Weather observations
– Encourage dialogue between and among operational and research Space Weather communities
Progress to Date
• Circular letters to WMO Members and several international organizations (OOSA/COPUOS, ICAO, IMO, ISES, and ITU) to invite participation:– Nominations for ICTSW– Point of Contact within Country
• Responses from 27 Members
• Preliminary discussions with ISES, OOSA/COPUOS, ESA, Canada, China, the Russian Federation and USA to explore collaboration opportunities
• Meeting with ISES and its representatives from Canada, the Russian Federation, USA and ESA developed preliminary list of activities for WMO ISES Collaboration

CAeM and CBS Coordination
• Presentation and report at February 2010 Meeting of CAeM (Item 8.8) calling for coordination with ICAO International Airways Volcano Watch Operations Group (IAVWOPSG) – requirements definition needed for information products
• Selection of ICTSW Members and Co-chairs done in consultation with Presidents of the two Technical Commissions– February 2010 CAeM formally designates Co-Chair– November 2010 CBS formally will designate Co-Chair

• Recommend that Members support the work of ICTSW through adequate resources
• Encourage collaboration between ICTSW and the ICAO IAVWOPSG
• CAeM and CBS about to designate Co-Chairs
