Project Overview
Space Exploration
Second graders have set the date and applying their research to their committee work in order to have songs, skits, dances, art displays, books and movies ready for Space Night, 2014!
We hope to see everyone on Wednesday, April 16th at 6:00!
Reading Connections
Noise Level 1Monday:1. Choose one of the space booklets to read. You may read with a
partner or to yourself.
Tuesday:2. Continue reading your space booklet. If you finish early you may
re-read the book or choose another one.
Wednesday:3. Field trip to the planetarium
Thursday:4. Continue reading your space booklet. If you finish early you may
re-read the book or choose another one.5. Begin working on the comprehension sheet about your book.
Friday:6. Finish your comprehension sheet and turn in to the reading file.7. Choose another book to read.

Writing:Committee Work for
Space ProjectNoise Level 1
This week you may use this station to work with your Space Committee on your project.
Use this time to create your movie, book, poem, song, skit and artwork.
Be sure to think about and start collecting any materials that you will need for your part of the project.

1. Choose a library book or a book of choice that you have not read.
2. Be sure you picked a book that you can read alone.
3. Silently read .4. After you finish your book, write the name of the
book in your Data Binder.5. Be sure to fill in the information about your book
in your binder.6. If you can answer all the questions in your Data
Binder, get your laptop and log on to AR to take your test.
7. Record your AR score in your Data Binder.
