Samaritan’s Purse“Build a School”

At Southside, an important aspect of our school culture is the Bee Attitude--Be Caring. Mrs. Jones' fifth grade social studies students exhibited this character trait in a unique way. Students donated their extra snack and spending money to help build a school in a third-world country. Student donations will be sent to the international relief organization, Samaritan’s Purse.

Having surpassed their $200 goal, Mrs. Jones’ social studies students issued a challenge to other fifth grade classes in the state to help provide the opportunity for an education to those children less fortunate.
