Welcome to Southroyd We are really proud of our school, and want you to be part of it.

We encourage all our children and adults to be Active Citizens contributing to and benefitting from the school, local and global community. We try to learn about what’s real – we think about local and global current issues and use them to help our children engage with their world in a meaningful way. Our children are enthusiastic learners and proactive in our community because of this.

The voice of every child is important and your child will have a say in their own learning and other aspects of school life. We promote a sense of belonging and want children and adults to be happy and proud to be part of Southroyd.

Parents are partners in learning here. Your contribution is encouraged and valued and we work together as a team to help your child reach their full potential in all areas of learning and development. There’s lots for parents to do here if they wish!

We value all types of learning – for the pleasure of learning and the lifelong benefits this attitude has. We read for pleasure, play sports for fun, work to feel pride in our achievements and celebrate all our goals and talents. You can be good at ANYTHING at Southroyd!

Please get in touch – I would be delighted to answer your questions.
