PROJECT GOALS & VISIONS

Develop a two-year viticulture and enology program that contributes to the

economic growth of the region & fosters sustainable wine making practices

Establish a resource hub for the regional wine industry that provides

continuing educational programs and seminars

Educate students in all phases of wine production and marketing at a

commercial scale

Provide an incubator for a limited number of wineries

Provide a space for an analytical laboratory to service the local wine industry

Introduce visitors to the Southern Oregon wine-making region

Provide an event center for regional conferences, receptions and gatherings

to celebrate the wines of the region

Create a new sustainable image for Umpqua Community College which can

serve as a model for the local wine industry

Provide space for economic development and support of local wine industry

clusters
