ABOUT THE SOUTHEAST SUMMITThe Southeast Greenways & Trails Summit is the platform for sharing best practices, building relationships, and influencing trail and greenway development in the Southeast. By ensuring broad representation of stakeholders and leaders from the private and public sectors, the summit inspires the movement for advancing trails and greenways across the region. The Southeast Summit features workshops by high-caliber expert presenters, insightful plenary and keynotes, and ample networking time. The Summit also includes delicious food and drink and the opportunity to visit inspiring portions of the East Coast Greenway in Durham, NC, as well as sites in Raleigh and Cary.
ABOUT THE EAST COAST GREENWAY ALLIANCEThe Alliance is the nonprofit organization spearheading development of a safe, accessible, 3000-mile greenway from Maine to Florida. Based in Durham, NC, the ECGA employs field staff up and down the East Coast. Mobilizing its network of staff, volunteers, and partners, the ECGA works to achieve its vision of an ambitious bike/pedestrian corridor that links communities along the nation’s most densely populated corridor and links people to nearby green space and natural beauty. By serving users of all abilities and ages, the East Coast Greenway supports non-motorized commutes, active recreation, and sustainable development. Learn more: greenway.org

Charles Flink PresidentGreenways Incorporated
Chuck Flink is widely regarded as one of America’s leading greenway planners, having completed comprehensive greenway, trail and open space plans for more than 250 communities in 36 states and 9 countries. Among his notable projects are the Northwest Arkansas Razorback Regional Greenway, Miami River (FL) Greenway, Charleston County (SC) Greenbelt Plan, American Tobacco Trail (Durham-Raleigh, NC), and the Wolf River Greenway (Memphis, TN).
Flink coauthored Greenways, A Guide to Planning, Design and Development, cited by the American Planning Association as “the best single reference” on greenway development, and Trails for the Twenty-First Century: Planning, Design, and Management Manual for Multi-Use Trails.
