Mrs Rouse and Mrs McIntrye have accompanied our school captains Rahni McGrath and Max Rayward and Vice Captains Tallara Taylor and Callum Dalton to the Brisbane Young Leaders’ Conference today. The conference is held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. The students have the opportunity to listen to inspirational Australians who talk about their specific journeys. Speakers at this conference may include John Coutis - Leadership, Holly Ferling - Brisbane Heat Big Bash, Jack Heath - Author and Harrison Craig - The Arts. The students will learn about leadership values including resilience, innovation and being courageous and having the aspiration and motivation to follow their dreams. Our thanks to Mrs Rouse and Mrs McIntyre for their organisation and support of this excellent excursion. Later this term our captains, vice captains and prefects will have the opportunity to attend the GRIP Leadership Conference which is held annually at Coffs Harbour.

Our Pride Leadership Induction Assembly will be held on Tuesday 6th March at 11.30am in the Primary Hall. We will be congratulating our Year 6 students who have completed their training and who now take on a important leadership role in our school. Parents are invited to attend this assembly.

Thank you for your support of the Coles Schools for Sport initiative. Parents who spend $10 at Coles will receive a voucher that can be placed in our collection boxes in the King Street Coles and South Grafton Coles or in the school office foyers. This initiative will run till the 3rd April. Our school will be able to redeem these for sporting equipment. We appreciate your support of our school.

Our Infants sign has been turned off awaiting a cabling upgrade. We are hoping this will be completed today.

Just a reminder to all parents and students that the Library Café will be opening on Thursdays this term between 3.00pm and 4.00pm.

Our Infants school photos were taken yesterday and our Primary School photos are now being held on Tuesday 13th March. Parents who were unable to order before the photo day can contact the company and order online after the day. Congratulations to Callum Dalton and Caitlin Amos who will be representing our school at the North Coast Cricket trials and Rahni McGrath who will be representing our school at the North Coast tennis trials which will be held later this term. We are very proud of these outstanding athletes and we wish them all the best at these trials.

A reminder that we will be holding our Infants Easter Hat Parade for the Infants Campus on Thursday 29th March. Children will need to make a hat at home and bring it to school on this morning. Morning tea, drinks and a BBQ lunch will be available to purchase and parents are encouraged to stay and have lunch with their children. We are looking forward to another very successful parade. Have a great week Peter Hickey Principal

Kindergarten have been learning about the letters ’A’ and ‘M’. KDR have had great fun printing with apples. We masqueraded in masks - and moustaches! Can you tell who we are??

Our P&C will be organising a Father’s Day Breakfast instead of a Father’s Day Stall this year. This will be an enjoyable morning for the students and their dads. Keep an eye out later in the year for this date. Our school craft group has started to prepare craft items for our Mother’s Day stall. This group meets on a Wednesday morning 9.00am-11.00am at the Infants Campus. We would love any donation of tea cups, they can be left at either office. We would really appreciate some more helpers, parents/carers or grandparents. Come along, have a cuppa and be creative. For more information contact Kelly Vickers on 0419 162 075.

Daily Examiner Hockey starts next Thursday 8th March. Years 3/4 at 4.30pm - Years 5/6 at 5.10pm Girls Saturday Hockey - Notes have been sent home and they need to be returned to either Miss Cotten on the Primary campus or Mrs Gillett on the Infants Campus.
