Welcome to Mount Alverno Resort & Retreat We are so excited that you are thinking of hosting your special day with us. We are a full service and fully licensed event facility. Your celebration will be catered by our Chef and expertly managed by our experienced staff. Please keep in mind that these are just sample menus and our chef is happy to create a more customized menu for your special day.

Our menus reflect influences from many cultures and we are happy to accommodate the special celebration traditions that are important to you and your guests. Mount Alverno will take great care to locally source as much as possible in season. Our number one priority is the quality of food we serve to our clients and guests.

CHEF GAURAV PARMAR

Cuisine at Mount Alverno Resort & Retreat

Born in Jalandhar, India, Chef Gaurav Parmar brings to Mount Alverno a soulful, elegant Indian Cuisine that takes the journey of food to another level. Influenced by the aroma of Indian spices and traditional cooking, each flavor is significantly contrasting from another.

Chef Gaurav after graduating from the Indian Hotel Management Delhi, he has created some exquisite flavorsome dishes at renowned hotels like Oberoi’s and Taj.

Chef Gaurav fell in love with Caledon and joined Mount Alverno as a platform to introduce the traditional and most recent flavors of Indian cooking. His creative and soulful selection of spices are remarkably enchanting.

Deposit Structure

- $ 1,500 non-refundable deposit to Hold the Date.

- $ 5,000 upon signing the contract.

- Balance to be split for later dates, will be assigned between the date of contract signing and the Event.

- The Final Balance is due 30 days prior to the Event.

Food and Beverage

- Any Food & Beverages consumed at your event must be solely supplied by the Mount Alverno Resort & Retreat, excluding Wedding cakes. Food & Beverage supplied by the Resort must remain on property. Food items not consumed during the event remains at the Resort.

- We are governed by Provincial Liquor Laws & the Department of Health. No Liquor will be permitted outside normal licensing hours. All Liquor must be distributed by the Hotel.

- All details concerning Food & Beverage must be finalized at least four ( 4 ) weeks prior to function date.Our Sales and Catering Team will be happy to assist with menu selections, floor plans and room arrangements. Prices quoted are for ninety days and are subject to change.

- A guaranteed number of people attending, and any necessary food and beverage details are required 14 days prior to the event such as final numbers, floor plan, guest food choices, Mount Alverno Resort & Retreat will charge for the number guaranteed or the actual number of people served; whichever is greater.

- The Final Bill will be based on total confirmed guest count which is due 30 days prior to your event;plus, applicable taxes and gratuities.

- Cake Cutting fee of $ 3 per person for buffet style and $ 5.00 per person for plated, both options served with coffee and tea.

Taxes, service charges and other charges

All prices are quoted in Canadian currency and exclusive of applicable taxes and service charges.A $ 1500 non-refundable deposit will be taken for each day of event, upon signing of contract, with a Valid Credit Card. All of the following will be added to the final bill:

- All food and beverage 13 % HST

- Service Charge 15 %- Function Room Rental 13 % HST

- Guest Rooms 13 % HST

- Resort Fee 5 %

The bar must be closed during mealtimes, at which time wine and other beverages served will be charged to the host based on consumption.
