FOREWORDConvocation is an immense public occasion when the Universitycelebrates the accomplishments of its graduates. It is acommemoration of a student's life at their University and anopportunity to share this significant milestone with faculty, peers,family and friends. This year BUITEMS is holding its 9th Convocationto confer degrees and award medals and prizes to those, who provedthemselves worthy of the same in undergraduate and graduateprograms.

Universities are the hub of academic activities which eventuallycontribute to the development of a nation. Historically speaking, thedeveloped nations essentially depended on their universities andeducational institutions. keeping in view the current milieu, we atBUITEMS are committed at imparting quality education to studentswhile promoting the virtues of harmony, tolerance and a visionaryapproach. The University setting provides a platform that facilitatestheir exposure to diverse perspectives in a way that encouragesrespectful understanding of differences, and recognizes thosedifferences as strengths. Our instructive policies postulate threeeducative domains of good institutions of learning. The cognitivedomain where intellectual faculties are exercised to gain moreknowledge; The Inductive domain on the other hand is where theymerge reasoning abilities with learnt knowledge, to search for thesolution of personal and professional problems; and the behavioraldomain is which prompts them to go for serene and altruistic living.

At BUITEMS our focus is on introducing modern techniques, not onlyin the field of information and communication technology orengineering, but also in the avenues of social sciences and pedagogicaland andragogical approaches. At the same time we tend to equip ourgraduates with art of living through spiriting up in them, adherence tothe existing set of values, contributive towards a better society.Standing still in spite of the resource handicaps and the air of politicaluncertainty, the university is providing this nation with someextraordinary young leaders. This year too, over 700 students arereceiving acknowledgment for their hard work and diligence. Theireducation being contemporarily apt, we are confident that our alumniwould contribute considerably towards the society. Even if they chooseto set-up their own enterprises, BUITEMS shall strive to provide themwith every possible assistance, through our Business IncubationCenter and through showing trust in them.

Onthis auspices occasion I wish to congratulate thegraduating students, their parents & guardians and theentire BUITEMS family. I also congratulate the Vicechancellor, management and faculty of BUITEMS andappreciate their services for not only equipping thestudents with the most valuable tool of education but

also for the growth and further development of the University to caterto the educational requirements of the area in a significant manner.

It is indeed heartening to learn that this year BUITEMS has celebratedits nth anniversary. Within a short span of 11 years, BUITEMS hassecured a significant place for itself in the Higher EducationCommission's ranking of the national universities. The success of anyUniversity is measured not only by its infrastructural facilities but alsoby the devotion of its management, faculty and the zeal of its studentsto learn. In this context, BUITEMS deserves to be appreciated and themanner in which the University is serving the cause of education isindeed commendable.

On this momentous occasion in the life of graduating students, I wouldurge them to work diligently and honestly in their practical lives. Intheir careers, they would be judged by their professional calibre,integrity, sense of responsibility and by their services to humanity.Besides striving for professional excellence, it is also equally importantto be a good human being and to display and hold high exemplarymoral and ethical values,

I am delighted to learn that Balochistan University ofInformation Technology Engineering & ManagementSciences is holding its 9th Convocation this year. Aninstitution gaining such a reputation within 11 years ofits existence is indeed a pleasant sign. Education is thatone commodity, which empowers the nations throughintellectuals and enlightened human resource. Ouruniversities have to serve this objective in order toprovide strong foundations for a strong nation.

In this modern age, survival of the nations is widely dependent onadvancement, particularly in the fields of research and technology. HigherEducation Institutions are our new garrisons; academia our soldiers,ready to take over the scholarly fronts making us stronger. BUITEMS isone such institution which is setting precedent for new institutions. Withits visionary leadership, it has taken over the task of mobilizing the socialdynamics in favor of patriotic spirit and it is bringing a positive surge inthe academic and social scenario of the country as well.

BUITEMS being an institution with varied disciplinary options providesthe nation with capable professionals in almost every field, ranging fromEngineers to Management and Social Scientists. I hope that the studentsgraduating from this institution exhibit professionalism and civic valuesessential for achieving national and global harmony. It is indeed quitecrucial to teach our youth these values so that we understand the worthof the diversity we are naturally gifted with.

My advice to the graduating students is that each one of you has to playimportant role in our future as nation builders. Celebrate yourindividuality while respecting others. Once we develop this culture ofmutual respect and harmony in our individual and national life, no onecan stop us from progressing.

It is matter of great pleasure for me that theBalochistan University of Information Technology,Engineering and Management Sciences is holding its9th Convocation.

The growth and Emergence of BUITEMS asprominent institution of Pakistan and its recognition

internationally, has given me a great sense of satisfaction as itsChancellor. Universities not only impart knowledge but also directtheir students towards the development of society and nation. Marketbased education especially technical education is the back bone of theeconomy. BUITEMS students are performing their role quite well, inthe development of our society as its valuable members andcontributing significantly towards progress of the nation.

I congratulate BUITEMS on this auspiciousoccasion. My heartiest felicitations are also for thegraduating students and their parents. The proudparents are witnessing their dreams come true.

BUITEMS, since its inception, has worked greatly for the promotion ofeducation; and with the collaboration of HEC, the University hasevolved not only as an important academic institution, but a torchbearer for the province of Balochistan. The institution is contributingits share through providing capable human capital and promotingsocial causes such as diversity and tolerance, which is very aptconsidering the current scenario of the country. We expect that thesevalues have been inculcated in the graduates of BUITEMS.

On this occasion, I would like to tell the graduating students that thisis now their time to shine. You have gained education at a reputedinstitution of the country; utilize this experience for the advancementof the country. For this, all you need to do is to be honest, dedicatedand committed to your profession. Take care of the minute detailspertaining to your profession, and the greater details would take careof themselves. Be organized and enjoy what you do, make yourprofession your love and contribute through every effort possible. the University Syndicate and His Excellency will be escorted to the

Robing room.

Academic Procession

The teacher / officers of the university will then form a two line procession

and walk into the Convocation Hall in reverse order of seniority, The

Chief Guest, Chancellor and the Vice Chancellor will follow at the back of

the procession. Academic Procession enters the Convocation Hall. As

soon as the procession enters, all shall rise from their seats and remain

standing till the Chief Guest and the Vice Chancellor take their seats on

the dais.
