Sound for the Centennial: The Campaign for The Cleveland Orchestra

To ensure that this community con nues to enjoy the kind of quality performances, meaningful educa on programs, innova ve programming, and ac ve community engagement the ci zens of Northeast Ohio want, The Cleveland Orchestra has undertaken the most ambi ous fundraising campaign in its history.

In order to ensure the Orchestra’s future success, the Sound for the Centennial Campaign seeks to build the Endowment through cash gi s and legacy commitments. While the Endowment grows, the Campaign will also secure broad-based annual support from across Northeast Ohio. Overall, the Campaign will ensure the highest levels of excellence in quality programming and community service, which have long been recognized as hallmarks of the Orchestra’s work here at home.

Evolving for the Future: A Thriving Orchestra for Today and Tomorrow

Sweeping changes at The Cleveland Orchestra have taken root in recent years and are star ng to bear fruit. These include programs to foster future audiences, to shape and focus the Orchestra’s educa on ac vi es and presenta ons, and to build strong and meaningful part-nerships across the Northeast Ohio community.

The 2012-13 Season saw record-breaking cket sales, including a signifi cant increase in the number of young people enjoying and energizing our classical con-certs at Severance Hall. The Orchestra’s educa on and community programs are also scoring strong successes and par cipa on from across the region.

As we approach the ins tu on’s centennial in 2018, The Cleveland Orchestra has never been more commit-ted to serving Northeast Ohio with the excellence these musicians have become known for around the world, and to present the quality musical experiences that this com-munity expects and demands.

Building for Tomorrow:  A Community of Support Genera ons of supporters have made The Cleveland Orch estra what it is today. But the Orchestra’s future depends on renewed, increased, and ongoing support from across Northeast Ohio.
