And it is clear that you are outside in a cold place as you can hear the crunch of snow under footsteps. The setting changes to somewhere in a city as footsteps can be hear on metal. In the third setting it is in an apartment I know this because of the answer machine but this game is also set in the future as the voicemail sounds robotic. Also a man seems very upset about something as he is throwing a fit, throwing things around the room which sound like papers and stuff that would be on a desk. Af ter this more people come in, and the setting changes to desperate and dire one as this man sends the main character on a dangerous quest. The wind was probably made by a sound board, as some have very realistic sounds of wind or it was made by field recording, this is where they record the sound by going out and getting the sound they need. The background music was made by instruments recorded in the studio, most likely violins or cellos or a whole orchestra Mood The mood is an eerie sense of discovering something shocking which the player doesn’t know what yet. And when the character can’t get an answer of the radio it adds suspense and fear. It then turns into and dangerous scary setting with shooting and gunshots. After that it is a very tense and angry setting created by the music creating suspension. And lastly It is a desperate and dire one, where you know only bad things can happen and everyone is likely to die. The radio static is Foley artistry or was just really a radio making static. Foley artistry is where they recreate the sound in the studio. Game genre The game genre is horror, action adventure and sc-fi. You know that because of the sounds and narrative in the clip. Such as there being an eerie static and not being able to reach other people is definitely horror. And towards the end when the person comes in saying that the main character is needed to go something clearly dangerous, you know it’s an action adventure because you’re going to have to control the character to do the dangerous thing. It is an action adventure game from the gunshots which would have been made from Foley artistry. But also horror because of the dark and dramatic and suspenseful sounds made by the orchestra.

Setting

At the start of the audio clip, you are clearly outside surrounded with loud strong wind as you can hear the blowing and banners flapping in the wind. After this more people come in, and the setting changes to desperate and dire one as this man sends the main character on a dangerous quest.

The wind was probably made by a sound board, as some have very realistic sounds of wind or it was made by field recording, this is where they record the sound by going out and getting the sound they need. The background music was made by instruments recorded in the studio, most likely violins or cellos or a whole orchestra

Mood

The mood is an eerie sense of discovering something shocking which the player doesn’t know what yet.

Game genre

The game genre is horror, action adventure and sc-fi.

Narrative

The narrative starts off with the discovery of something shocking, by the way the character is clearly shocked and confused and tries to contact someone else but only achieves in getting a very static answer which adds to the suspense. After that the dialogue is very angry and nasty, with one man trying to get a reaction from the other. Saying things like there’s no time left shows there in a dire situation, and “do you love you mother?” you wouldn’t ask something like that normally so you can see that there no in a normal situation and time is running out after no response from the other man he shot him, then himself. Towards the end another man comes in saying that the main character is needed and there is a sense of desperation in his voice he needs the characters to do it otherwise something dreadful will happen.

The dialogue would have been made by dialogue recording in the studio where they record the voice actors acting the scene out.
