This website and App, allows you to create, record and share the sounds you create anywhere to friends, family and the world with SoundCloud.

Sound Cloud was launched from Berlin, in October 2008 by Alexander Ljung and Eric Wahlforss they still manage this Website in Berlin where the HQ is placed. A key feature of SoundCloud is that it lets artists upload their music with a distinctive URL. By allowing sound fi les to be embedded anywhere, SoundCloud can be combined with Twitter and Facebook to increase its audience reach.

Soundcloud also shows its music using widgets and apps, this alows users to place the widget on their own websites or blogs, and then SoundCloud will automatically Tweet every track uploaded. Downloads of the tracks are availible to computers and on apps for the iPhone, iPad, and Android platforms and a Symbian App is also thought to be on the way.

In my past i have used the Iphone app and been shocked of how easy it is to use because you just click record and it uses the built in mic or if wanted a add on mic is availble to buy. Its also free of cost. The terms are very close to being like twitter as you can Follow an Artist and then they can follow you if wanted.

So overall SoundCloud is a way that anyone with of the use of internet can become a producer with the cheapest equipment on the market.
