8:30-10 pm: Swing Dancing in the PlazaCan you carry a tune? Show off your swing dancing skills, learn some new steps, and en-joy some great music.

Friday, Sept. 18 9 am: Canyon Adventures (meet in Plaza)Love the outdoors? Take a bike ride or a hike through Poly Canyon, visit the architectural graveyard, or hike to the P.

10 am: Fan Fest Volleyball in Mott Gym Show your school spirit and come watch the Mustangs beat Seattle

1 pm: Cooking in the Canyon - Smooth-ies in the Community Center Enjoying a relaxing afternoon? Come learn how to make refreshing smoothies with a variety of ingre-dients.

3 pm Leaning Towers of PCV in the Community Center Have a knack for build-ing structures? How about with spaghetti? Grab a few friends and see how high your tower will be.

5 pm: Fan Fest Pride in the Plaza Wheth-er you are going to the soccer or volleyball games, go in style with face paint, posters, and Mustang Spirit!

7 pm: Fan Fest Soccer in Spanos StadiumSee the Mustangs beat the Hornets!

7:30 pm: Fan Fest Volleyball in Mott GymCome see the Mustangs take on Santa Clara in their 2nd game of the day.

9:00 pm: Plaza Premiers “UP” Enjoy a nice night outside with the popular Disney-Pixar animated film shown right at your doorstep in the PCV plaza.

Saturday, Sept. 19 11:30 am: Healthy Habits: Cardio DanceCardio Dance happens every Saturday, same time, same place! Sign up each week at the Aliso front desk to save a spot!

2 pm: PCV Photo Hunt in the Communi-ty Center Grab a group of friends and learn about all PCV has to offer in this fun and in-teractive photo scavenger hunt!

7:00 pm: Fan Fest Volleyball in Mott GymCome see Cal Poly take on Idaho!

8-11 pm: Poly Canyon Village Idol in the PlazaSign up at the Aliso front desk for your chance to perform at PCV Idol! The winner of this event will open for Chase McBride and Steel Time at the Carnival & Concert on Monday!

Sunday, Sept. 20 1 pm: Fan Fest Soccer in Spanos StadiumSee the Mustangs beat San Jose!

6 pm: CA Sundaes in the Community CenterGet to know your CAs and how they can help you throughout the year. Meet you neighbors and treat yourself to a yummy dessert.

8-10 pm: Casino Royale in the Community Center Royal Flush? Straight? Full house? Try your hand and your luck at PCV’s casino night.

Monday, Sept. 21 2 pm: Faculty Mentor Minglingin the PCV Smart Room Do you want to get to know Faculty outside the classroom? Come find out more about the Faculty Men-tor program!

3-6 pm: Concerts in the Canyon (in the Plaza)Come out for a celebration before classes be-ginning! Good food, bands and games await. Music starts at 3 pm with carnival games lasting till 8 pm with Still Time headlining.

Thursday, Sept. 107:30 pm: The Village Social Hour at Peet’s Coffee Meet your fellow PCV-ers; mix and mingle amongst your new neighbors; and the first 50 Villagers receive coffee on us! Board games and cards available for additional fun!

Friday, Sept. 117:30 pm: The Village Social Hour at Einstein’s & Jamba Juice Worn out from moving? Need a pick-me-up? The first 50 through the door enjoy tasty bagels and nutritious smoothies … for FREE! Board games and cards available as well!

Saturday, Sept. 12 2:00 pm: Football Fan Fest in the PlazaIt’s the first football game of the season! Come out and paint your face in Cal Poly colors, make posters, and bring your energy as we prepare to walk over to the stadium!Food: Einstein’s Bagel dogs

4:00 pm: Fan Fest Football - Cal Poly vs. Sac State at Spanos Stadium Cheer on your Mustangs beat the Sac State Hor-nets in their Season Opener!

9:00 pm: Plaza Premiers: Star Trek Come see this new blockbuster film start-ing Zachary Quinto & Chris Pine!

Sunday, Sept. 13 3:00 pm: PCV Fun in the Sun Take dip in the PCV pool, play some pool basketball or just lounge in the sun! Enjoy this luau themed party while soaking up the rays!

7:00 pm: Community Center Competi-tions: Ping-Pong, Pool & Wii Test your skills on the tables against fellow PCVers! Try your hand at pool, ping pong, and Wii. Sign up at the Aliso desk during the pool-side cookout, for a chance at tourney prizes!

9:30 pm: PCV Pancakes Come on down to the Community Center for some delicious pancakes and fun with other PCV-ers!

Monday, Sept. 14 10-11:30 am: Healthy Habits - Pilates & Parfaits in the Community Center Work those “powerhouse” muscles and enhance your mental focus! Pilates engages the body and mind! Enjoy a complimentary, healthy yogurt bar afterwards! *Space is limited.

2:00 pm: Origami & Mochi in the Community Center Master the art of paper folding while enjoying a traditional Japanese dessert!

3:00 pm: Global Living Community Social in the Community Center Connect with others interested in global is-sues, traveling, and studying or living abroad.

4:00 pm: Tie Dye in Huasna CourtyardCreate your own colorful masterpiece and get creative with your designs!

7:30 pm: Healthy Habits Yoga in the Community Center Stretch, relax, and center yourself. Learn techniques that ben-efit the body and mind!

Tuesday, Sept. 152-7:00 pm: Volleyball & Bocci Ball at PCV Volleyball Court/Huasna Courtyard Create your own teams and challenge your neigh-bors to some friendly competition!

3:00 pm: Cal Poly Organic Farm Tours (meet in the Plaza) Take a small trip to a local organic farm to learn about growing and incorporating organic foods into your diet. Space is limited.

6-7:30 pm: You Are What You Eat at the Village Market Think you know the nutritional value of foods commonly consumed on college campus? Prove it! Gift cards provided to the winner from each neighborhood!

7:30 pm: Cooking in the Canyon-Stir Fry in the Smart Room Emeril has noth-ing on us! Cooking in the Canyon always has great food! This program happens weekly and features a new, easy recipe each week. Bring your friends and get there early to get your own cooking sta-tion.

9:00 pm: Astronomical Awakenings (meet in the Plaza) Interested in outer space, the stars, and other celestial bodies? Come out and learn how to identify constel-lations and some of the stories behind them.

Wednesday, Sept. 1611:00 am: Balloon Blast-Off in the Huasna Courtyard Test your catapult building skills in this balloon launching competition. We provide the supplies, you design the catapult to hit our target.

1:00 pm: Honors Social in the PCV Smart Room Are you in the Honors Program? Would you like to meet others who are? These classmates will help you through the rigorous academic years ahead.

3:00 pm: Entrepreneurial Social in the PCV Smart Room Learning how to go into business for yourself? Start the net-working now! Mix and mingle with your fellow Business Entrepreneur Community members, as well as members of the Col-lege of Business faculty.

4-6:00 pm: PCV Farmers Market in the Plaza Every Wednesday, stop by the Plaza for fresh produce brought in directly from our own Cal Poly Organic Farm! Fresh produce is at your doorstep!

7:30 pm: Healthy Habits Kickboxingin the Community Center Got a really good high kick? Show it off and learn other kickboxing skills! Signs up are first come, first serve at the Aliso desk.

8-10 pm: Barn Dance in the Plaza Can you do a good two step? Join your CAs for some great music and line dancing lessons.

Thursday, Sept. 17 11:00 am: Bike Repairs in the PlazaBring your bike back to school? Stop on by to learn how to fix it or keep it in great shape to last the whole year!

1:00 pm RISK It! in the Community Center Have a desire for global domina-tion? Grab a few friends and come on down to try your strategies to take over the world!

3:00 pm: Living Green in the PlazaStop by to plant your own potted plant, decorate the pot, and pick up tips on living greener and being more sustainable. Also, learn how to start growing your own herb garden to add some variety to your cooking!
