Chanel Nguyen Lo in the orient when the gracious light Light – arms up and open wide like spreading something Lifts up his burning head, each under eye Lifts up his head – lift up head towards the sky Doth homage to his new-appearing sight, Homage – salute Serving with looks his sacred majesty, Sacred - bow And having climbed the steep-up heavenly hill, Climb – arms moving as if climbing a ladder Resembling strong youth in his middle age, Strong – arm muscles Yet mortal looks adore his beauty still, Adore – hands in fist under chin Attending on his golden pilgrimage: Pilgrimage – walking like a journey But when from highmost pitch with weary car, Highmost pitch- arms up into a mountain top Like feeble age he reeleth from the day, Reeleth- tired dragged body The eyes (fore duteous) now converted are Eyes – hands around eyes From his low tract and look another way: Another way – turn head and body away So thou, thy self out-going in thy noon:
