Underwater Acoustic TransducersNautel C-Tech has more than 40 years’ experience in underwater acoustic resonators, transducers and arrays for naval and commercial sonar applications. Our primary experience is focused on the design and manufacture of TONPILZ resonators, transducers and arrays from 5 kHz to 86 kHz, many of which are used in our suite of sonar systems. With more than 450,000 transducers and resonators for commercial and naval sonar systems shipped worldwide, Nautel C-Tech is well positioned to support the needs of customers requiring reliable, cost effective and proven TONPILZ based sonar solutions.

Nautel C-Tech is a world leader in the design, development and manufacturing of sonar systems for international defence and non-defence customers. We bring a long history of engineering innovation, superior performance and customer satisfaction.

Our proven expertise in naval sonar systems has made us a preferred supplier to the Canadian Navy, international naval forces and major defence contractors.

    Variable Depth Sonar (VDS)•CVDS-26

    ° Frequency: 26 kHz

° Function: Omni and sector search, detection and classification in support of ASW operations in coastal and deep waters, maximizing detectability in conditions of poor acoustic propagation.

    Waterside Security Sonar•CSDS-85

    ° Frequency: 80 kHz

° Function: short range detection of divers, swimmers, SDVs, AUVs and mini-submarines with deployment options including bottom mounted, vessel mounted or over the side deployment using a crane or hoist.

Naval Echo Sounder (NES) ° Frequency: Broadband 12 kHz – 200 kHz transducer dependent

° Function: Multipurpose Naval Echo Sounder optimized for Navigation and Obstacle Avoidance, employing a range of COTS & MILSPEC third party supplied transducers to determine depth.

    Hull Mounted Sonars (HMS)•CHMS-90

    ° Frequency: 86 kHz

° Function: Retractable sonar optimized for high resolution sector search, detection, and classification in support of MCM and Underwater Detection operations in shallow water, aboard patrol vessels and corvettes.

    •CMAS-36/39

    ° Frequency: 36 – 39 kHz

° Function: General Purpose active and passive, omni and sector sonar designed for search, detection and classification in support of shallow water surveillance operations including MCM and short range ASW in littoral waters, navigation and obstacle avoidance, search and recovery, UUV tracking. Employed aboard small to medium size patrol vessels and corvettes.

    •CTS-24

    ° Frequency: 26.5 kHz

° Function: General Purpose active and passive sonar optimized for short to medium range, omni and sector search and classification in support of ASW, mine detection and avoidance aboard medium size or larger patrol vessels and corvettes in shallow and deep water.
