Do you want an audience that devours content and is keen to purchase quality, trusted products? Crosslight is the award-winning publication of the Uniting Church in Australia, Synod of Victoria and Tasmania.

With a print run of 20,000, Crosslight is delivered monthly (except January) to over 700 locations – every congregation, UnitingCare agency, Uniting Church school and college throughout the two states.

Crosslight readers are engaged and committed. This is evidenced by: * The active letters page. In 2015 Crosslight is averaging nine thoughtful and passionate letters per edition.* The coming events page, which local congregations and church organisations fill each month (for a fee), promoting their event.* The number of story submissions the managing editor receives monthly.* More than 75% of our readers pass on their copy of Crosslight to family and friends.

Crosslight is a much loved and valued part of their lives.

A team of journalists, editors and designers, work on the publication, the quality of which is recognised annually at the Australasian Religious Press Association (ARPA) awards. In 2014 Crosslight received gold for best editorial/opinion piece. Other awards include:

“Best news article” (about churches and their financial investments) “Best feature story” (about suicide in Victoria’s rural areas) “Best story by a new or non-professional writer” (about a relationship with a person who has dementia).

Crosslight is not the mouth-piece for the Uniting Church. Rather, it seeks to reflect issues of interest back to its constituency, to challenge, encourage, inform and educate. It is the paper of the people for the people and it is the only communication tool that reaches all members and friends of the VicTas Synod.

According to the 2011 Australian Census, 1,065,796 people identified with the Uniting Church, making it the third largest denomination in the nation. Over 60% of Victorians and nearly 70% of Tasmanians describe themselves as Christian.

Uniting Church people care about the world and that is reflected in how they engage with their paper. Every month we receive letters commending the editor for publishing particular articles or vehemently disagreeing with opinions that have been published. Our research indicates that more than 92% of readers have a good to excellent view of the newspaper.
