DIESEL ENGINESOur generator sets use both MTU and Perkins engines. All of them are water-cooled, four-stroke engines, which ensure low fuel consumption. Could be assembled with 4-6 cylinders in line or 8-20 in V angle. Naturally aspirated and turbo-charged engines with post-cooling system. The electric system operates at 12 or 24 volts, including starter and battery-charging alternator.

SYNCHRONIZED ALTERNATORCoupled directly to the engine with flexible steel discs, brushless, with an internal voltage regulator, transistori-zed, keeping the voltage from Empty to full load + 5%. Designed to work properly at 1500 RPM, or 1800 RPM 50 Hz, 60 Hz, 0.8 power factor, NEMA insulation, CLA-SE H with varnish. These generators are leak-proof and provided with a cooling fan.

MANUAL OPERATION GENSETSFor manual ignition, Ottomotores offers:

• Control panel mounted on generator.• Oil pressure, water temperature and battery voltmeter gauges.• Thermomagnetic or electromagnetic switch mounted on the generator output.

AUTOMATIC GENSETSFor automatic ignition, Ottomotores offers:

• Control panel with automatic transfer switch.• Wall-type or self-supporting cabinets.• Surge / short-circuit protection is built into the transfer switch.

Spark-ignited engines are engineered 35 kW - 400 kWManufactured and installed in our factory. Applying natural gas and LP-fueled engines to generators takes advan-ced engineering expertise to ensure reliability and long life. By using materials designed for dryer, hotter burning fuel, the engines last larger and require less maintenance. Generac adjusts new sea containers to diminish noise transmission and minimize the inconveniences nearby. The attenuation is about from 72 dB to 80 dB at 7 m (22 ft).

The containers are easily handled which ensures simple transportation without packing issues. Its strong construc-tion protects the equipment in a simple and effective way within a structure that resists outdoor conditions. Those generator sets that are installed within the containers have capacities greater than 1,000 kW.

The main role of enclosures is to reduce noise produced by generators which are located outdoors or inside cons-tructions that require control of noise levels. We manufacture according to international quality standards such as ISO9001:2008 , ISO14000:2004 and NOM-ECOL-081.Ottomotores has developed two types of acoustic isolation. One of them uses a method of “acoustic room”, which consists of preparing a certain area where the genset would be placed, isolating so the noise and reducing it to approximately 76db. The other method consists of manufacturing an acoustic enclosure to be located outdoors.

Containers cover a variety of applications since they are designed to protect and reduce the noise made by the electrical generators. Furthermore, the containers represent the best option for installations with lack of machine rooms such as offshore platforms, mines,repeaters, etc.

For the clients, having an Ottomotores container means a safety alternative, viable and profitable in their equipments.

• Access to switch for proper cable connection• Cap on the top to fill radiator easily• Ladder in the middle which is also designed to lift and move the enclosure• Control panel at the left side of the enclosure with a cover to protect it from the environment. • External access to “Stop” button in case of emergencies• One-piece top design to prevent rain water seepage• Silencer located at the front side of the enclosure, with a cover to prevent rainwater seepage• Manufactured with 12 or 14-swg carbon steel plates (according to genset range)

• Coated with electrostatic-powder paint which provides the enclosure with rust resistance. The stan-dard color of our enclosures is white (RAL 9003), but other colors are also available for special requests (ask about color availability)• One lay of Tezamol between base-tank and enclosure reduce vibration• The enclosure has 5 doors: 2 of them lead to engine and cooling system, 1 to control panel, 1 directly to alternator and 1 more for cable connections• Thermical protection with flexible tubes• Built-in base-tank, manufactured with 3/16 and 12 caliber steel plates• Preventive and corrective maintenance

Generac has reached an unique position in its industry by manufacturing high-quality generator sets and by incorporating control panels that comply with all the requirements for a proper operation.

The range of solutions of control panels for our variety of generators, allow a simple operation in both Manual and Automatic modes, including our electronic and analogical engines.

Our variety of control panels for open transition systems allow to control the transfer switch and monitoring remo-tely. Our modules are provided with an RS485 port, which allows a remote communication with gensets. These modules can be monitored through a friendly-navigation software incorporated to a SCADA system.

On the other hand, our control panels for closed transition systems can be monitored by Ethernet (LAN), or by SMS messages receivable in any kind of cell phone thanks to its RS485 port. The port RS485 communicates through protocol ModBus ™ and the communication protocol SNMP.
