MULTI TURBINE TEST SET
MODEL: FM 46
he Multi Turbine Test Set (Model: FM 46) is designed to be a self-contained unit to demonstrate the
operation and performance characteristics of three types of turbines, namely Francis (radial flow) turbine,
Kaplan (axial) turbine, and Pelton (impulse) turbine. The turbines will be driven by a 3 kW pump, andT
comes complete with dynamometer and data acquisition system. The Multi Turbine Test Set is capable of performing
experiments on mechanical power out, hydraulic power in, hydraulic efficiency and specific speed.

adjustable spear valve.
d) 3 kW Pump and Turbine Test Set Base Unit with
Automatic Data Acquisition
♦ A fully self-contained unit to show the
operation and performance characteristics,
including cavitation of a 3 kW centrifugal
pump.
♦ Supplied with dedicated software and
computer aided learning software.
♦ Sensors built into the equipment to supply
data displayed on digital meters on an
instrumentation panel.
♦ Instrumentation panel is inclusive of a
hydraulic circuit diagram, pump speed and
turbine load controls, overspeed and drive
on indicators.
♦ Includes dynamometer, strobe trigger and
mounting to study turbines powered by the
pump.
♦ Hardware unit inclusive of desk space for
student use and storage for turbines.
♦ 400 litre water tank.
♦ Guards, and emergency stop, and residual
current circuit breaker (RCCB).
