SOLAR POWERED LAMP MADE OF RECYCLED MATERIALS

I. Introduction:

The world is experiencing rapid climate change due to tons of garbage that people dispose everyday.

You can find Aluminum foil wrappers and sachets in the garbage of every household. Worst, these materials are non-biodegradeable.

II. Objectives:

1. To make these non-biodegradeable wrappers into usable things.2. To lessen electricity consumption by using Solar energy

III. Materials:

Empty Shampoo in sachets, Snacks and biscuits foil wrappersNylon ThreadScotch TapeUsed CartonLED Lights Solar Panel

IV. Procedure:

1. Wash the empty aluminum foil wrappers and sachets and let it dry.2. Cut the foil into small strips and fold it “Banig” style3. Cover the Solar powered LED lamp with carton4. Sew the “Banig” style wrappers together and stick it to the carton.5. Connect the Solar Panel to the lamp for charging.

V. Highlights

The highlight of the project is that I learned that these waste materials can be turned into beautiful ornaments. More importantly, my family and I had a good time in making this project and had a nice family bonding at the same time, saving our environment in my little way.
