BACK TO SCHOOL WITH JESUS BASH

Many of our Wonderfully Wise en-joyed lunch at Blue Boat Resort on Reelfoot Lake, TN last week. It was a splendid day weather wise and the view of the lake was another re-minder of God’s amazing creation. Pictured are Carol Cooper, Donna Smith, Glenda Cooper, Shirley Orazine, Sara Vaughn, Barvia Piper, Shirley Moore, Freda Wagner, Vicki Gough, driver, Sharon Dirshimer, Georgia Davis and Laurel Henderson. Stay tuned for more information on our next outing.

Dear Church Family, Just a little note. Just a word or two. Thanking you for who you are and everything you do! I would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers during this year. And thank you for the meal certifi-cate following my surgery. I have been truly blessed! Much love, Shirley Orazine

Thank you to the many, many folks who assisted with our Back to School with Jesus Bash. Either in body or in spirit, we had plenty of support for a great week! An average of 28 children en-joyed a delicious lunch daily, along with crafts and lessons on the importance of obedience to God, parents and teachers. Not only did the children enjoy time on an inflatable water slide on Thursday and a movie with popcorn and coke on Friday, they took home school supplies and a gift for their teacher. Be sure to check out the pictures on Facebook. We thank God for His guiding hand in this endeavor and pray that seeds have been planted to His glory! K.K. Our Tuesday prayer group is a great opportunity to gather and pray for the needs of our congregation, our community, our nation and our world. Please join us in the fellowship hall each week at Noon. If you are unable to attend, please pause on Tuesdays at Noon, look at the back of the Sunday bulletin and pray for those concerns listed. For you who live elsewhere, the concerns and praises are on page 2 of this newsletter. There is power in prayer. Whether we are together in the same room or sim-ultaneously across the miles, the Lord hears us. Praise the Lord!

They’re not just stories, but true sto-ries from the Bible that you’ll hear every Sunday morning in Sunday School class. We begin at 10:00a.m. and spend 50 minutes studying the word of God. There’s nothing more exciting than discovering something

new from a passage you may have read many times be-fore. Come hear what the Lord has to say to you.
