This two day course will include the use of Adtek’s Energy Analyzer, AccuLoad and Electronic Consultant Software. Adtek Software will help the Dealer setup their software customized to their Dealership. We will work with the Distributor in customizing the database with all equipment and accessory pricing. Purchase orders can be printed right from the software with Distributor part #’s. Adtek will provide the Dealer with a simple form that when completed will allow us to create a file that can be loaded into their software. You will be a button click away from using the software in the home. We will keep the setup time to a minimum! You will practice loads, operating cost analysis and will actually complete sales calls right in class. By the end of the classes the attendee will be proficient in using the computer in the home.

This one day course will include the use of Adtek’s Energy Analyzer Software. Attendees will learn to calculate estimated operating cost comparisons as well as Return on Investment and/or Payback. They will become familiar with the built-in savings calculator and show the savings for the whole life of the equipment not just simple ROI and Payback. Balance points for Hybrid Comfort Systems are automatically calculated. Compare variable speed fans cost to conventional motors for continuous operation. ACCA MJ8 Residential Loads

Course Description

This one day course will include the use of Adtek’s newest software...AccuLoad which is powered by MJ8. The attendee will learn to evaluate building materials and make the proper selection in determining heat loss and gain calculations. MJ8 terminology will be discussed as well as the importance and savings of installing ERV’s & HRV’s. AED and peak loads will be discussed in detail, leading into the design for zoning and/or multiple systems. Several load calculation projects will be completed in class. Upon finishing the class, the attendee should be competent in calculating heat load calculations using AccuLoad. Please bring your computer, this is a hands on class.

This is a hands-on class, all participants should bring a laptop computer with a power supply, external mouse and have a current version of AccuLoad installed.

Designing Residential Duct Systems

Course Description

This one day course combines ACCA’s Manual D principles with common everyday practices. Attendees will understand air delivery systems and what happens inside the duct. How changes in the field will effect airflow, noise and comfort. Static pressure, velocity pressure and friction loss will be discussed as well as proper measuring of duct pressures. We will be using ACCA’s duct slide rule which is included with the class. Equipment and register selection will be covered along with register location. Find out how duct leakage can have an effect on your homeowners utility bill. Anyone who is involved with designing or installing HVAC systems should attend this class. ACCA’s Duct Calculation Slide Rule ($45.95 value) will be included with the class.

This is a hands-on class, all participants should bring a pencil, paper and calculator.

Selling Dual Fuel Heat Pumps requires more than just offering them. In this one day course, attendees will learn the operation of the heat pump in terms that a homeowner will understand. They will learn how balance points can have an effect on operating costs. Common terms such as COP’s, HSPF’s, SEER’s, etc. will be covered. Understanding their local Utility costs will be discussed as well as providing estimated operating cost comparisons. Proper thermostat selection and setup will be covered to provide their homeowner with maximum energy savings as well as total comfort.
