Why did students take to the streets? Ask yourself this:Who voted in the election for fees that will burden students with debt for the rest of their lives?

No one did.

Because no party would admit that this was what they were planning.

The Lib Dems promised to get rid of fees, then changed their minds. The Tories just kept quiet about it. And Labour? Well, they commissioned in the first place the Browne review that recommended massive cuts to funding and a hike in fees.

Why should the young pay for the bankers’ crisis? Why should the poor and sick?

When the people have no voice in politics they will take to the streets.

That’s the only place we’ll get any democracy, for democracy is the power of the people.

March, demonstrate, occupy: that’s the way to show our power.

That’s the way to stop cuts and fees.
