COMMUNITY OUTREACH/PAST EVENTS
Brothers & Sisters Mentoring program The Brothers & Sisters Mentoring program first met on Wednesday, March 6, 2019. This meeting was centered around goals and dreams. Following a 45-minute discussion, mentees created their own “dream boards” representing their long- and short-term goals. The program held a second meeting on March 20, 2019 where we focused on the topic of peer pressure. Following the 45-minute discussion, mentees were broken up into 5 separate groups and were tasked to create a roleplaying scenario highlighting peer pressure. The Marketing Office created all promotional flyers, sign-up forms, sign-in sheets and the logo for this program.
Ice Cream with A Cop On March 16, 2019, the Bladensburg C.O.P.S Unit hosted its first Ice Cream with a Cop event. The Marketing Office created all promotional material for this event.
Quarterly Newsletter The Marketing Office completed the Town of Bladensburg Spring Quarterly Newsletter which has been printed and distributed to all Town residents.
Resident Guide The Marketing Office finalized the design and content of the Town of Bladensburg Resident Guide. The goal in developing the guide is to provide the community with a resource tool where residents, businesses, and visitors can easily access information on Town services, programs and matters impacting the community.
