• DIY Business Planning
• Information on bvcspp.wikidot.com
![Page 6: Social Impact Reporting - Main Presentation](https://reader036.fdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022062513/5558b318d8b42a7e298b4a01/html5/thumbnails/6.jpg)
Aims for today
• To explore a practical approach to
recording and reporting on social impacts
• To come up with ideas for what you could
do – particularly around outcomes and
outcome indicators
![Page 7: Social Impact Reporting - Main Presentation](https://reader036.fdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022062513/5558b318d8b42a7e298b4a01/html5/thumbnails/7.jpg)
Outcomes and outcome indicators
• Outcomes – the changes, benefits or other effects that happen as a result of what you do.
• Outcome indicators – well defined pieces of information that can be assessed or measured to show whether outcomes have been achieved.
![Page 8: Social Impact Reporting - Main Presentation](https://reader036.fdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022062513/5558b318d8b42a7e298b4a01/html5/thumbnails/8.jpg)
Aims for today
• Hear from a Bradford organisation which
has done some of this
• Look at ways you could maybe collaborate
– outcome banks
• Leave with a clearer idea of what to do
next
![Page 9: Social Impact Reporting - Main Presentation](https://reader036.fdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022062513/5558b318d8b42a7e298b4a01/html5/thumbnails/9.jpg)
Our assumptions
• You have lots of other things to do
• You probably do some of this already
• But probably not in an organised way
• So you need something that is do-able
and affordable
![Page 10: Social Impact Reporting - Main Presentation](https://reader036.fdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022062513/5558b318d8b42a7e298b4a01/html5/thumbnails/10.jpg)
What do you already do?
• What do you record already?
• What do you report on?
• What do you do as a result?
• What works well?
• What needs more work?

Today we want to explore:
• Outcomes – the changes, benefits or other effects that happen as a result of what you do.
• Outcome indicators – well defined pieces of information that can be assessed or measured to show whether outcomes have been achieved.

HALE’s experience of social impact reporting

How can you make a start?
• In small groups:
• Your desired outcomes
• Indicators for each outcome
• Then, what will you do with the information that you gather?
![Page 15: Social Impact Reporting - Main Presentation](https://reader036.fdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022062513/5558b318d8b42a7e298b4a01/html5/thumbnails/15.jpg)
How can you collaborate?
• Is there scope to develop outcome banks?
• Could you agree to record and report on a
bank of common outcomes?
• What might be the benefits of doing this?
• What issues might it raise?
![Page 16: Social Impact Reporting - Main Presentation](https://reader036.fdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022062513/5558b318d8b42a7e298b4a01/html5/thumbnails/16.jpg)
What will you do next?
