Social Awareness Program:SAFE DRIVE SAVE LIFE
SAFE DRIVE SAVE LIFE
Someone has rightly said, “Safety saves sickness, suffering, and sadness." Another wise man said, “Don’t depend upon others for safety--help yourself."
Our safety is our concern. Others are too busy living their own lives. Why
would anyone heed my safety? It is always better to be on your own guard. Others cannot be depended upon.
There is ever increasing chaos of traffic on roads. People are in mad rush to reach their destinations.
SAFE DRIVE SAVE LIFE
If you omit slightest precautions of safety, your life can be in jeopardy. Be extremely cautious when you drive on road.
Follow all the traffic rules meticulously. The most important thing that you must not do is ‘HURRY’.
Wise men have said ‘HASTE MAKES WASTE’. So never ever be in hurry while on roads.
The second thing that you must not do is ‘BE IMPATIENT’. Be patient while driving. You will come across people who will be in mad rush; don’t get affected by their rashness.
You just maintain your cool. If each one of us starts behaving like the ideal driver behind the steering wheel, roads will become far safer!
SAFE DRIVE SAVE LIFE
The invention of wheel was one of the most significant factor in transportation and advancement.
We can't imagine life without vehicles around us. People take pride in possessing latest models of cars and have given up walking and cycling considerably which are very good for physical fitness. The increasing number of cars, luxurious life style and materialism have taken a toll on the climate of our mother earth. Her lungs ache in the absence of pure and unpolluted air. Endless fumes emitted by buses and cars choke her.
SAFE DRIVE SAVE LIFE
If we want to save her, we need to bring a change not only in our life style, but also realize the difference between need and greed. If we want our children to breathe in fresh air, if we want them to enjoy the resources and privileges we have enjoyed, we need to conserve our environment.
Car pooling, using public transport and walking short distances can be our first measures in this endeavor. Life of man is directly dependent on the resources available and we must save them.
