ITINERARYSoccer is the most popular sport in Costa Rica. Almost all residents eat and breathe soccer.Costa Rica has aprofessional soccer league and Costa Rica's national soccer team is the third most successful team in CONCACAF afterMexico and the United States. This passion for soccer gives us the opportunity to use soccer as the vehicle for culturalexchange. Besides enjoying the weather, beaches, adventure, wildlife, and and natural wonders, you will have thechance to play competitive soccer with the locals and to experience a different soccer style.

DAY 1 Saturday, 10 March 2018Relax and enjoy our scheduled flight from Houston to San Jose.* Please note that the final itinerary may be slightly different from this program. The finalitinerary will be determined based on the size of the group, any adjustments that are required(such as adding additional matches), and the final schedule of the matches. (If additionalmatches are required, then some sightseeing content will be replaced by the additionalmatches needed.)Our bi-lingual Tour Director will meet us at the airport and will accompany our groupexclusively throughout the tour.Our private bus and driver will meet us at the airport. We will have the use of a private busfor all sightseeing and sporting activities throughout our tour.San Jose is the capital and largest city of Costa Rica. Located in the Central Valley, SanJosé is the seat of national government, the focal point of political and economic activity, andthe major transportation hub of this Central American nation. Today it is a modern city withbustling commerce, brisk expressions of art and architecture, and spurred by the country'simproved tourism industry, it is a significant destination and stopover for foreign visitors.Our accommodation for the next six nights will be in the greater San Jose area. While herewe will have breakfast and dinner at the hotel restaurant.Tonight we will have dinner in the hotel restaurant.

DAY 2 Sunday, 11 March 2018This morning you will enjoy breakfast at the hotel.Today we will travel to our training session and then into San Jose.TRAINING SESSIONWe will participate in a Training Session at a local field. The training session will be led byyour own coaching staff and is designed to prepare the team for upcoming friendly matches.(Training sessions may be in the morning, afternoon or evening and will be determined by thefinal hotel location, field availability, and the schedule of activities for the day).Today lunch will be included.SAN JOSE CITY TOURTake a City Bus and City Walking Tour of San José to view and visit some of the mostimportant landmarks of the city. Highlights will include: Costa Rica?s cherished NationalTheater, Art Museum, Metropolitan Cathedral the old and authentic Central Market, theNational Monument, Democracy Plaza and the new National Stadium of Costa Rica. Our tourmay also include a tour of Proyecto Gol, the official training facilities of the Costa RicanNational Team (Subject to availability).

DAY 2 Sunday, 11 March 2018ESTADIO NACIONAL DE COSTA RICATake a guided tour of the National Stadium of Costa Rica (Estadio Nacional de Costa Rica)The stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in La Sabana Metropolitan Park, San José. It is thefirst modern sport and event arena to be built in Central America. The stadium wascompleted in 2011 and officially opened its doors to the public on Saturday, March 26 of thatsame year, with a capacity of 35,175 seats. The stadium serves as the home stadium of theCosta Rica national football team and it was used to host matches during the 2014 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup, including the opening game, the third place match and the Final.We will dine this evening in a local restaurant.

DAY 3 Monday, 12 March 2018This morning we will have breakfast at the hotel.Today we will travel to our service activity and then to our first match.SERVICE ACTIVTYParticipate in a Volunteer Activity in the San Jose area. Based on needs at the time of ourtrip, we will participate in a humanitarian, environmental or community based project. This caninclude volunteering at an orphanage or home for the elderly, volunteering in a localenvironmental project, or dedicating our time and resources to a worthy project in the region.Today lunch will be included.FIRST FRIENDLY MATCHWe will play a Friendly Match against a local club or academy team. The team will meet andcompete against athletes of similar ages and skill levels, and have the opportunity to makefriends for life. (The teams you will play will be selected after time of booking and will bebased on the specific skill level and requirements of your team. We have contacts at everylevel and take great pride in finding the perfect fit for each friendly match).Tonight we will have dinner in the hotel restaurant.

DAY 4 Tuesday, 13 March 2018This morning you will enjoy breakfast at the hotel.Today we will travel to Turubari and then to our match.TURUBARI ADVENTURE PARKEnjoy Turu Ba Ri Tropical Park, designed for ecotourism and adventure, with over 247 acresof developed land for the enjoyment of it?s guests. We will began with a zip line canopy tourcovering around 1.5 miles over 8 cables, 11 platforms, two bridges and a tower. The groupwill be accompanied by professional guides. We will continue with a the nature walk with anaturalist guide. Our tour includes trails, bridges, breeding areas, botanical collections, acultural area known as Finca Campesina (countryside farm) complete with a sugar mill.Lunch will be provided today at Turubari.SECOND FRIENDLY MATCHWe will play a Friendly Match against a local club or academy team. The team will meet andcompete against athletes of similar ages and skill levels, and have the opportunity to makefriends for life. DAY 5 Wednesday, 14 March 2018This morning we will have breakfast at the hotel.Today we will travel up the mountain to La Paz and then to opur third match.LA PAZ WATERFALL GARDENSWe will visit La Paz Waterfall Gardens, one of the most beautiful and fascinating attractionsin Costa Rica. Our tour begins as we enter the Aviary to explore the birds of Costa Rica andeven hold a toucan! We continue into the huge Butterfly Garden that features a variety ofspecies and an excellent learning center. Next we will view the monkeys before we explorethe hummingbird and orchid gardens, where you can get up close to hummingbirds.Today lunch will be included at La Paz's magnificent restaurant just off the hummingbirdgarden. The buffet lunch features traditional cuisine in one of the most beautiful open-airsettings in Costa Rica.LA PAZ WATERFALL GARDENSOur visit at La Paz Waterfall Gardens continues as we visit the small serpentarium featuringmany of Costa Rica's snake and lizard varieties. We continue to the cats exhibit to see thebeautiful and massive Costa Rican jaguars. Our time concludes as we hike down theperfectly laid out trails to viewing points along the 4 La Paz Waterfalls, each viewing pointseemingly more impressive than the last.THIRD FRIENDLY MATCHWe will play a Friendly Match against a local club or academy team. DAY 6 Thursday, 15 March 2018This morning you will enjoy breakfast at the hotel.Today we will travel towards the central Pacific Coast and then to our final match.CARARA NATIONAL PARK HIKEExplore the amazing biodiversity of Costa Rica with a tour through Carara National Park. Thisdry coastal rain forest lies in a mountainous transition zone and offers an opportunity to spotan abundance of native wildlife such as sloths, monkeys, kinkajous, frogs and scarletmacaws. This is one of the top places in Costa Rica for viewing macaws in their naturalenvironment. Our tour director will lead us on an easy hike.TACOLES CROCODILE BOAT TOURTake a guided Boat Tour through the Rio Grande of Tarcoles on board comfortable and safeboats. We will have the opportunity to see magnificent ancient reptiles with sizes of morethan 4 meters. Crocodiles have been on the planet for more than two hundred million years.Since they haven't changed much over time, they are considered living dinosaurs. You canalso see iguanas, basilisks and over 60 bird species in their natural environment. We will beaccompanied by a Captain and a bilingual guide, both navigation experts willing to provide allthe information about the fauna and flora of the river while facilitating you the opportunity tophotograph and film the wildlife at close range.Lunch will be provided today.FOURTH FRIENDLY MATCHWe will play a Friendly Match against a local club or academy team.
