Storyline 1 – Shop floor

As the two characters enter the shot there is a non diegetic sound track playing in the background. The song is called “ Mr big stuff” and the two are going into an expensive shop.

Kirk asks Joey “Have you heard the latest with Lauren ” implying that he is going out with or was going out with a girl called Lauren. This is an establishing shot showing where the two are, and what clothes they are wearing.

This shot shows where the characters are showing them trying on a range of different clothes and laughing. The lighting is coming from the store and the only dialogue is the two laughing.

The two are dancing in the shop showing their having a good time. “And back at ya” is the only dialogue in this scene . The camera shot is a long shot showing everything about the characters, whilst you can see the shop light shining down.

“Why she saying that, she’ll tell anyone” This is a close up of the character Joey Essex showing his unique way of dressing himself.

“I've tried to be mature now” this is a close up on the character Kirk explaining his relationship with Lauren , you can also see Joey in the background showing the audience he's still there, and his funny facial reactions

“Never again, there's no reason for her to talk to me like I'm an idiot” Kirk says this showing that him and Lauren dislike each other after what has happened in previous episodes. The camera shot is kept the same all the way throughout this scene except for the close ups of the two.

“I know I know she still fancies you” this is now a medium close up onto Joey.
