Think about the importance of proper air
pressure in your car’s tires.
Under-inflation creates more resistance with
the road, which requires more energy/fuel, for
about a 3.3% decrease in efficiency. (per DOE)
Over-inflation creates less tire contact with the
road & thus reduced handling performance.
When the tire pressure is uneven, you can feel a vibration & a pulling
toward one side, thus reducing driving comfort.
Improper inflation results in excessive or
uneven tire wear, which leads to a reduced tire lifespan or even failure.
Each year, 260,000 auto accidents are attributed
to low tire pressure.(per SAE)
