So how did we become the best loved dough maker in the food service industry?

Originally founded in 1991 as La Pizza Company in Kingston upon Thames byPietro Vitolo from Capri, Italy. He used his own Neapolitan family pizza doughrecipes to produce high quality pizza dough and part baked pizza bases. The business continued to grow and in 2001 Pietro moved to Midhurst to expand the family owned business. A group of investors with extensive industry experience took over the business in 2006, maintaining Pietro’s traditional authentic pizza dough recipes and commitment to the highest quality standards. The range was then expanded to include speciality and artisan breads. The company therefore changed its name in March 2012 to Pan‘Artisan to reflect the artisanal nature of this new product offering. Today we supply an ever expanding list of wholesalers and distributors who deliver our products throughout the UK and beyond. You’ll find us in all the best restaurants, pubs, hotels and leisure venues where product quality is a priority. Pan’Artisan continues to be a privately held company with the original team working in the business to ensure consistent, ongoing quality and innovation.

Wood burning Dough Ball

This product was originally designed specifically to cook on a stone oven at high temperature but will cook in any type of oven.

When hand stretched, it produces an Italian style pizza with an aerated crust.

Hot Press

Mainly used in pizza pans for impinger ovens (travelling ovens). Formulated specifically to enable dough to be put through a hot press or dough rollers for even consistency of product dough.

A specialist relaxant is added to prevent shrinkage in a roller or the hot press machine.

Ideal for producing an American style pizza for take away use.

Which dough is right for you?Naan Bread Dough Balls

Our Naan Bread Dough Ball is made to a traditional recipe containing yoghurt and a raising agent.

It can be cooked both in a pizza oven or a traditional Tandoor oven. The doughball does not contain yeast.

Gluten Free Dough Pucks

Our new gluten free dough pucks are the perfect way for operators to produce an authentic gluten free pizza option for gluten free diners.

Gluten Free Vegan Naan Bread

Our Gluten Free Vegan Naan Bread Dough Ball is made from a special gluten free flour formulation and a yeast raising agent. Utilising traditional recipe principles, it has a distinctive ‘naan bread’ flavour and appearance and can be cooked in a hot pizza oven or a dry frying pan.

Gluten Free Dough Puck

Our Gluten Free Dough Pucks are made from a special Gluten Free Flour formulation which produces a thin and crispy style base suitable for Coeliac and those following Gluten free diets. The base looks and tastes very similar to a standard thin and crispy product. Due to the absence of Gluten, the dough puck is not as pliable and therefore needs to be rolled instead of stretched.

Our 15"x11" part-baked rectangular pizza bases are ideal for schools as they are easily portioned and contain no artificial preservatives, flavours or GM products. Salt levels conform to government guidelines.

Pizza BasesOur part-baked Pizza bases are made using the finest ingredients and produced to a high standard. Each pizza base is individually portioned and put into pans making our pizza bases light and fluffy.

Standard Pizza Bases are available in a Deep Pan or Thin. Available sizes: 7”, 9”, 12”, 14”, 16” round 15”x11” rectangular.

Made with Sourdough Bases

Produced using a high level of sourdough which has been selected to promote a flavour profile with rye, earthy, cereal notes and an intense acidity that packs a flavoursome punch. Distinctive taste from the first bite. A popular choice among customers and convenient for operators.

Italian Wood Fired

Italian Wood Fired Pizza Bases are made the Neapolitan way. The bases are made using 24 hour fermented dough. They are then hand shaped, sauced and part baked in a wood burning oven before being cooled and quickly frozen to lock in the flavour.

Tasca PocketsOur part-baked, folded soft bread pockets are ideal as a quick and easy sandwich with a difference. Convenient to use, simply thaw, bake, fill and serve. Can be served either cold or warmed in an oven or Panini grill.

Hand made using extra fine, ground Durum Semolina wheat, it makes an ideal high-quality accompaniment, dipping bread or sandwich carrier.With an open and light structure, thanks to a fermentation process of over 18 hours, the eat is very light with a yellow cake texture. Produced by our partners in Italy, our Focaccia Romana defines food elegance. It’s a truly hand-crafted product

as the dough would be too difficult to be handled by machine, with a 90% liquid to flour ratio, which produces

an extremely light, open structured bread that is easily digestible and stays fresher for longer.

Easy to use, this deliciously Italian bread can be ready to eat in minutes; once thawed and baked it can be served the Italian way, as a cold, open sandwich; used as an alternative filled sandwich carrier; or topped and baked in the oven as
