Pattern Cast on 3 stitches and knit garter stitches. Work 3 rows. Start increasing Work 1 increase in each side like this: Knit 1, knit up the loop and work it through the back loop knitwise, knit until you have 1 stitch left, knit up the loop and work it through the back loop knitwise, Knit 1 = 2 increases = 5 stitches. Make increases every 6th row until your work measures approx. 29.5 inches (75 cm). This is the middle of the work. Start decreasing Decrease 1 stitch at each side like this: Knit 1, knit 2 together, knit until you have 3 stitches left, knit 2 together, knit 1 = 2 decreases. Decrease every 6th row until you have 5 stitches left. Last decrease Knit 1, slip 1 stitch knitwise, knit 2 stitches together, lift the slipped stitch over, knit 1 = 3 stitches left. Knit 2 rows. Bind off.
