STARTING smoking and addiction to it could be driven to a large degree by your genes.

Smoking-related behaviours and attitudes of significant others (especially friends and parents) are among the most consistent predictors of adolescent smoking.

One of the major influences on the uptake of teen tobacco use is the glamourization of tobacco use in movies and on television.

Many people believe that the media is solely to blame for the rise in teen smokers in the world.

Passive smoking

Passive smoking means that the passive smokers, or non-smokers, are breathing in the smoke either from the burning end of the active smoker's cigarette or the smoke expelled by the active smoker.

Passive smoking is also called involuntary or secondhand smoking.

Passive smoking can lead to very serious health problems such as respiratory diseases, heart disease and lung cancer.

Passive smoking is considered a preventable cause of death which has killed thousands of people exposed to cigarette smoke in homes, workplaces and/or public places.

Children are often passive smokers and receive health injuries that they would not have had if their parents did not smoke.

Children who end up being passive smokers have been shown to have an increased risk of getting cancer later in life as well as asthma and respiratory infections.

How to quit smoking?

For smokers, to Stop Smoking is really a tough action to take. Majority of smokers want to quit smoking, but find it difficult to do so as nicotine is very addictive and hard to get rid off

Hypnosis is just one of many methods that can be used to help quit smoking.

Hypnosis works by basically re-wiring of your brain that let you change your paradigm to some actions, objects, situations or items.

The Five Minute Cure

Wait until you want a cigarette.

Take a deep breath and invite that desire to grow as fast and strong as possible.Continue to breath deeply as you focus on the desire spreading and multiplying throughout your body. Your anxiety should become intense, but answer it by calling on the desire to increase! Within a few minutes, your desire to smoke will suddenly vanish, and instead you'll feel truly great.

To completely end your addiction, repeat every time you have the urge to smoke.Your craving will vanish faster each time, usually in seconds, and be replaced with a genuine feeling of exceptional well-being and energy.
