SMOKE EXTRACTION & VENTILATION DUCTS

It is necessary for ducts in fire to maintain their integrity and shape for undisturbed flow of smoke, while duct supports do not collapse under the pressure. Their behaviour under fire was examined during the period of 120 minutes.

PROKOPAN PROTECTION is a system of ducts made of galvanised steel sheets according to the DW 144 standard; it is protected by an expanding layer of the NULLIFIRE coating with the PITURA primer. Duct supports, the capacity of which is the most important in case of fire, are made of L30/30/4 mm profile and M10 threaded rods, and protected by an expanding coating and primer.

The system of applying the coating to the base with an appropriate primer has been developed. Coating (foam) stability after expanding is up to 120 minutes, and expanding coating (foam) adhesion to the base lasts 120 minutes.

Propokan PRO system of smoke extraction ducts functions successfully in fire up to 120 minutes. It has been tested according to SRPS ISO 834 and new European SRPS EN 13501-4, SRPS EN 1366-9, SRPS EN 1366-1 (SRPS ISO 6944), SRPS EN 1363-1, and SRPS EN 1363-2 standards.
