Question 33 - 40 is based on the following passage
The door was slammed so hard that the whole house seemed to shake from the impact. Encik Yusof was about to yell at his daughter but decided to hold his tongue at the last minute. “Teenagers can feel very stressed out at times for no apparent reason. Sometimes, you need to be a little patient to get to the root of the problem,” his friend had advised him.
Up in her room, Hazlinda flung herself onto her bed. Anger welled up inside her. “Life’s so unfair! Why do I have to do most of the chores around here?” she thought to herself. Surely her brothers could help out more.
A little later, she decided that she should tackle the problem head on. Grabbing a pen and paper, she began to write out her complaints. Then, she listed down all of her and her brother’s chores.
She had to admit that it was a fair distribution. Since her brothers were in the afternoon session, they completed their chores in the morning while she was still at school. That was why she never saw them doing any work.
She was glad her grandmother had suggested that she write down her problems. It helped her see them more clearly. Perhaps her current moodiness had something to do with the embarrassing incident that had taken place earlier in school.
Her grandmother looked up as Hazlinda strolled into the living room. She patted the empty spot next to her, inviting Hazlinda to sit next to her.
“How was your day?” asked her grandmother. Hazlinda poured out her heart to her. It felt good to be able to talk about all her troubles. She felt thankful that she had an understanding grandmother who lived with her.
