Our Goal• Create a GPS beacon to track our payload in real time• Relay and decode this information remotely• Secondary GPS transmitter to pinpoint location of
ground recovery team relative to the payload• Eventually transmit sensor data to the ground team

Ground Team & Balloon Beacons• Track our location relative to the payload• Track information in real time• Transmitting on 144.340 using ANSR’s digipeater• Call sign – KG7CDL-1 Balloon• Call sign – KG7CDL-2 Ground Team
Our Transmitters:
Ground Station Configuration:• Ham radio receives transmitted APRS packets on 144.340• Sends information to computer using a TinyTrak 4 as a Terminal Node Controller (TNC)• Information is decoded and location is displayed on a map using APRSIS32• All information is also stored locally for retrieval later
Canon PowerShot SD1100 IS• Modified firmware to implement hack• Capturing images every 5 seconds• Hack allows for continuous photos
