Reminders:

• Smart911 is supplemental data and should be used when you are not able to communicate with the caller or are not getting sufficient information from the caller.

– In some cases callers may have information in their profile that they are afraid to say out loud. So even on a call when you are talking to the caller, if you are able to do so you may scan the profile to see if there is something they are not saying.

• If you use a Smart911 profile to assist in the call in anyway you should document the ticket number in your CAD call.

Page 17: Smart911 dispatcher training 3.0 upgrade

Reminders:

• When you are transferring a call with a Smart911 profile please let the receiving PSAP know that you are seeing a Smart911 profile. This way if the receiving PSAP does not yet have Smart911 or there is an issue with the Smart911 profile being transferred they will know that additional data may be available.

• Should you use a Smart911 profile in a call we want to know! Inform your supervisor or Kayreen Lum at the Program Office at [email protected].
