Production teams and facilities are selected specifically for each project meaning that the design and build can be tailored to suit any scale, budget and clients needs.
Art fabricationSmallProjects has worked on a variety of projects for artists and designers, offering everything from consultancy in the initial stages through to management and installation. ManagementIn 2011 SmallProjects undertook the fabrication design and project management of RainBow Gate (pictured), a sculptural pavilion by Tonkin Liu Architects. The complex stainless steel structure was curved and welded on CNC cut plywood formers designed by SmallProjects. The sculpture was fabricated at Mike Smith Studio, London. James Shearer also managed the installation in Burnley.
InstallationSmallProjects has managed several installations over the past year in locations including the Tower of London and the Victoria and Albert Museum. James Shearer’s experience in installation management includes everything from small individual artworks to 18 metre high steel structures. He has worked all over the UK and other parts of Europe, as well as the U.S., China and Singapore.
