Small Group Questions April 30, 2017 Series Title: Walking Dead Message: “Walk with Me” Introduction This series will walk through Romans 8. It speaks of a new kind of life, life in the Spirit. Within a relationship with Jesus, it’s not the way that it used to be on our own. God is with us, not in a general way, but specifically to transform us. This series will seek to unpack what that means and how Jesus invites us not into a new religion but into a new life. Our hope is that people experience freedom from condemnation and a deeper desire to walk with God on a daily basis. Discussion Questions (Questions to get everyone to participate) 1. What is the greatest example of an “It’s too good to be true” message you can remember? 2. If you were to live life as a slave, what do you think would be the hardest part of that life for you? (Questions based on the primary text) Read Romans 8:12-17. 3. Since we are not made right with God by doing good works, what is the motive for changing our lives? 4. How are we to deal with our sinful nature (:13-14)? What does that look like in practical terms? 5. Paul contrasts living like a slave versus living like a child of God.
