The various tests for calculation of workability are
1.SLUMP CONE TEST
2.K-SLUMP TESTER Used to measure
the slump directly in one minute after tester is inserted.
This having 1.9 cm ex.dia and 1.6 cm intr.dia and ,length 25 cm.
3.CAMPACTION FACTOR TEST
The cft has been developed at the road research labotary u.k.
It is one the most efficient test for measuring workability.
CF = wt. of partially comp. Concrete/wt. of fully compacted concrete.
4.FLOW TEST In this test , a
standard mass of concrete is measured and this flow is related to workability.
Flow percent =Spread dia in cm-
25/25 The value can range
from 0 to 150 percent.
5.KELLY BALL TEST This has not
been covered by IS.
This test is performed on the site.
6.VEE-BEE CONSISTOMETER TEST Vee-bee test is a
good laboratory test .
We are going to measure the workability indirectly.
This method is very suitable whose slump value cannot be measured by slump test.
