MATHS AND ENGLISH

Alphabets and numbers are building

blocks of English and Mathematics.

Just like alphabets join together to form

words, digits join to form numbers.

Poetry in English uses Maths. Some

poems have fixed number of syllables.

Numbers are used to organise all kinds

of books with chapter numbers and page

numbers etc.

Similarly, Maths is also useful in

languages other than English- like

Arabic and French that we study.

have numbers to denote

their chemical structure

in their names. Eg.

The shape of the earth is a

geoid , a mathematical shape.

Latitudes longitudes are

measured and pointed outthrough numbers.

Directions use angles which

are measured with numbers.

Distances between places-

galaxies, planets, continents,

etc. are measured with Maths.

History is the study of

our past and requires

numbers, to record the

dates, years and data

through the ages.

Archeologists also use

calculations while and

after excavating, and

exploring.

Graphs, Bar Charts

Pictographs are used to

collect and record data

about people.

Mathematics is important

to count the votes after

elections to decide our

leaders.

Computer is a basically a

mathematical machine.

All data processing in the

CPU is based on Maths.

The information stored on

the computer and storage

capacity of devices is

measured with numbers.

and rests, while creating

melodies and songs.

Musical instruments are

made with precision

using mathematical
